I just saw this over on Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/10/25/valve-lowers-system-requirements-for-left-4-dead/). Apparently, Valve has lowered the system requirements for Left 4 Dead. Sounds good to me.
It looks like they only lowered the VRAM reqs from 256 down to 128 but that may help some people squeak by. I wonder if the did some sort of optimization or they just found they could run it on less memory than they initially thought?
Will this help any of you out? If so, will you pick it up on the PC instead of the 360? I've got mine pre-ordered already so I hope to see more of you on there.

I'm sure my video card can run this, even before this news. My concern is still my processor (Athlon 3000+). I'm sure I'll find out once the demo hits.

i hope it down to them doing more optimization as that means it will run better on my not to grate 256 card :D

Trying to restart the same thing that closed the FarCry2 thread? Sounds like a bad idea to me. We all know it will run fine on your console, so why come into a thread about the PC version solely for the reason of starting shit.

Still got it, but just barely. This is a PC game though, and that is where I will be playing it.

If this was directed at me, no I'm not. I have no problem with the 360. It's a great console. I was honestly curious to see if the spec drop would cause people to get it on the PC. After what Valve did with the PC and didn't do with the 360 on TF2 the PC tends to be the natural choice for a lot of people but if they can't run it having it on the 360 is a great choice. In all honesty it might be pretty cool on the 360 because of split screen, zombie slaughtering co-op.
