They're actually gummy eyeballs from Target. They came in a package of 8.

How I put all that together is when it came out of the oven, I opened up the inside of the cupcakes and stuff in the eyeballs. Then added some red and green cake dressing gels.

My nieces' reactions was priceless. The oldest one (7 years old I think) looked at it like it was an awesome looking frog but refuse to touch it. The youngest one (5 years old) looked at it and backed away quickly. Yet they kept coming back to look at it and prod at it. Just for extra measure, I ate one of the eyeballs and the oldest one just looked at me like I'm the coolest grossest uncle while the youngest one hid behind her grandma's legs peeking out.

Fun times :D

That would be a kick ass thing to make just if you are having a party or going to one. What you need to do is make those for X-mas now.

OldeWolf: You should have just brought out one of the cupcakes, with one eye closed. Show them the cupcake, point at it and your closed eye, eat it, swallow and perhaps cough a bit, and then open your eye.

And scream. :D

Aw damnit! I should've done that....

What I did do was get a spare eyeball and very graphically chew into it in front of their eyes while going after them saying slowly, "I nee-need...I need your eyes...eyes..." While grinning wickedly. Needless to say, they screamed and laughed while running away.

I'm too much of a care bear to those girls no matter how hard I tried not to be. :(
