Lacking any subforum to pop this into, I'll just toss it here, as I feel it fits.
I'm a long-lapsed programmer looking to re-develop my skills, and probably even mess with some modeling. I suppose I'm just curious if we have anyone else around here that dabbles in the gamedev or modding scenes. I'm considering any number of things from DS homebrew to an Oblivion mod. Anyone with some ability looking to take someone under their wing and offer advice?
Perhaps even collude on an idea or two? There were hopes of once doing a NWN mod a while back at EvAv, but that fell apart. Maybe if I can learn to pull my weight, we could do something.

The only game I've ever really produced is a big farce I made in high school (http://www.downthewall.com/sdmaster/) with RPG Maker 2000, but I have dinked around a lot with the mod makers in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Neverwinter Nights. I would definitely participate if we got some community project going.
I'd be interested in helping with planning/storylining and also with a little light coding. My final year of Uni is slamming me pretty hard, but I don't mind doing a little trouble shooting etc...

I'd be more than happy to do concept art if this is the kind of project that would need it. I've also done some 3d modeling, but I'm not very good at it. I always fell behind in class and never learned how to skin my models. From personal experience, I'm terribly unreliable about this kind of stuff, but I'd gladly pitch in when I have time.

I'd be willing to do that. It's been a while, but i've done abit of modding but that was mainly when HL1 was hot.

This is stuff i keep meaning to get in to in some way as i'm going to try and push my uni stuff towards interactive story telling in the hopes i can land some kind of job in the game industry. More often than not it means flash based stuff but i really want to push my self in level building and such as i used to have grate fun in morrowind and oblivion building up little villages and such so you can colour me interested in doing something.
Oblvion or source seems like the simplest choices for these kind of things
