I don't even want to be in the same room with my brother when I show him this; I imagine he'll need a towel...perhaps several.

We both remember liking this show when we were younger, but after he convinced me to track down and watch the first episode again, it rather tarnished my memory. He still insists the show got much better in the later seasons, but I'm not willing to chance and I'd rather live with the good things I do remember. :p

Wow, I'd love this.

That episode where the boy lets some strange monster into his room at night through the window and he slowly becomes a similar monster over time, like it's corrupting his personality? That was fucking freaky, and strangely serious episode.

And the Sandman's voice in the show always was creepy. I used to creep my friends out in college with my version of his voice. They used to tell me to stop it.

Now that I take the time to reflect, this show was probably one of the best Saturday morning cartoons ever created. I remember a lot of great episodes. One that always stands out is the time they get sucked into some game world where they forced to race in vehicles. Peter guns it only to crash into an invisible wall. Even then I thought there's no way he survived that. Oh, and the Halloween episode with the ghost that ate other ghost. That was so disturbing. Ah, memories.

The voice actor for Venkman is the same as Garfield I believe. Ha. And man, old cartoons are so much better than anything today.
