No, normally you can use any camera but MM went out of their way to ensure that the 360 one wouldn't work on the game.

Eye of Judgement is 30 bucks at all Wal-Marts, Spig. That way you get your camera and an awesome game for ten bucks less than you would have spent otherwise.

I didn't notice a stack of LBP's behind the shelf or anything last night, but that doesn't mean things weren't stacked behind the counter out of sight.

It's an utterly charming game, I must say. And it's hard not to smile while you play it.

I have SH: Homecoming, Dead Space, Fable 2, Fall Out 3 this week coming...all sitting waiting to be played...my only hope with this game is I can play in quick spurts when I can...and it's a platformer so it goes to the head of the pile...

It seems like it's only Gamestop/EB. I've been calling around this morning, and Gamestop was the only store that had any idea about the game being available today, and each store I called (there's about 4 within 5 miles of me...crazy stuff I tell you) either only had enough to cover pre-orders, or had at best 1 or 2 available to walk ins. At this point I'll probably just wait I guess.

I did that last year and got overwhelmed... and poor. So this year, I'm only buying multiplayer games that all my friends are playing on day one like Gears 2 then waiting on the single player games like Dead Space until after the Christmas rush... but it's been hard with Fable 2 since about half my friends list was playing it last night, I may have to pick it up.

I hardly see any of my real life PS3 friends sign on and I have about 10 people on my list. So if that changes and everyone picks up LBP and starts playing online, I may force myself to make time for it then.

But if I'm going out of my way to make extra time for any game, I would love to fit Valkyria Chronicles in. But again, LBP is really going to shine with the user generated content and that takes time to get up and filtered out so the good stuff is easily found and that stuff doesn't happen on day one.

Gamestop lost the one chance they had this year of getting any business from me. I was even going to trade in a bunch of stuff towards it. The only reason I was going to buy it there was because it wasn't available anywhere else this weekend. No way in hell am I supporting that company when I have any other options to get what I want.

However, thanks to whomever mentioned the "Eye of Judgement" deal at Walmart. I went by my local store today and picked it up for $29 which included the PS3 Eye camera, the game, the deck of cards and a booster pack and matt. "Eye of Judgement" still seems like a hokey concept to me, but considering the camera by itself is $40, that's a pretty damn good deal. I'll try out their silly physical based eletronic card game if they are going to pay me $10 to do so.

1) Gamestop got a special deal with Sony to get the games shipped to them early.
2) It's supposed to be for pre-orders only.

Luckily, there's Gamestops around me like Starbucks, so one of them had nice employees who were selling their extra copies. I got the last one. W00t! Time to go play.

I don't really know. I think there are some download games that use it, but I haven't looked into it yet.

I went down to my EB and asked about the preorder goodies. They only had the Kratos thingamajig and hadn't heard anything about new skins or any other preorder goodie.

Yeah, Agentgray was just telling me that he got two cards but if it just gives you everything, then I'm happy.

I'd live if it was just a US release, but I'd be grumpy about it :) That said, I'm more interested in the Snake, Sephiroth and Helgast outfits than Kratos, but I'll make due for now.

One little aside, I had a couple of friends over last night and while they follow gaming, they don't play a lot themselves unless they come over to visit. They had an absolute blast playing the game last night and when they realized that you can slap the other sackboys and girls, the game just degenerated into chaos in the Pod as they chased each other around, smacking each other and laughing their heads off. And co-op skateboard ramp jumping is hilarious, esp. when one person gets trapped under the board :)

Man, I've been loving the game.
I beat it yesterday, and have been working on unlocking everything. There are some things I won't be able to get until the online is up and running (parts that require 4 people).

Acing some of the later levels (finishing without dying) seems near impossible. It seems that a lot of the best costume pieces are only obtained through acing levels!

I'm about 4 worlds into the story mode and the levels are much harder there compared to the ease of the earlier stages. I totally agree with Underhero about how insane it will be to beat a level without dying.
