I hope MoM comes soon after MoO on GoG.

If they put MoO2 up there, I will buy it no questions asked, even after my bad experience with Fallout.

MoO2 rules.

I love MoM so much you could call me Oedipus.

Yet another reason GoG.com deserves our financial support.

Glad someone liked it. I'm kind of proud of it myself :)

I never really played much of MoO or MoO2. I did have the unfortunate 'opportunity' to try the spreadsheet sim that was MoO3... Blech.

2 used to keep me up late at night. LATE at night.

Edit: I was like 12.

It might be Outcast or MoO or both - not my original idea - lots of talk speculating on GOG about it.

I hate that absolutely everything in videogaming gets reduced to an acronym or initials. Took me a few minutes to figure out that this was about Master of Orion (I'm hoping).

I still don't know what MoM is, though.

sigh.

Not sure about that either - but I suspect it is "Master of Magic" but I could be wrong.

Oops - I thought someone had already mentioned Master Of Orion in this thread or else I would have been more explicit.

They announced that MoO, MoM, and Outcast would be coming this month. 1st day buys for me, all of them.

You are right - I had forgotten the announcement (http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/ATARI_brings_classic_games_to_GOG_com/_/1) details

If you don't know what MoO or MoM are, you don't deserve to know.

SO SAY WE ALL (while drunk).

SO SAY WE ALL (while drunk).SO SHAY WE AAAALLLL....

Seriously though, Master Of Magic ate up almost my entire first year of University (much to my grades' chagrin) and while my lust for a proper sequel will likely never come to fruition, I'd be more than happy to have a GoG version of the game again.

And Outcast... I smell a TTS right there. Sweet, sweet voxelly goodness.

It's definitely Master of Orion 2 and Master of Magic. They made a release about a month ago regarding it. I'm really excited about Master of Magic :). It's a good thing they're releasing it now with Elemental on the horizon. I might still pass on MoM and leave the nostalgia intact since an updated spiritual successor is coming soon.

I was feeling guilty about not having ever played MoO or MoO2 until I looked at the release dates. Too poor for a PC back then. Definitely considering picking up Outcast, I really wanted to play that at the time.

That shouldn't diminish your guilt... you can just get it now :P

These will be very tempting! I love GOG.

So many games to play, so little time.

So there we go

Master Of Orion 1 and 2 (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/master_of_orion_1_2) as well as Outcast (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/outcast)!

I must resist for now, but these are going on my wishlist.

I bought it. I'm a little disappointed that they went with the DOS version of MoO2. IME MoO2 never ran especially well in DOSBox, and I would've rather they patch the Windows version instead. In my very brief playtime with it it did seem just a tad sluggish, but that may just be confirmation bias on my part, I'd need more play time to be sure.

All in all though, if it'll play without the rampant bugginess I experienced in both DOSBox and Windows in the past, I'm happy. MoO2 is probably my favorite Space Civ game.

Damnit! I do NOT have time for more great classic games! Until I play through EVERYTHING on my backlog I will not buy another game.

No, that's a lie. I'll buy these, and let them sit on my drive and rot away for years before I look at them.

I think that we at COG should start a support group for this sort of behavior. I'd definitely attend those meetings.

My "Not installed" list on steam is epic. Though I do play the games I get on GoG. They are just such nice treats.

Mags, you'd be the founder, the president, the chapter leader, a member, the executive committee, honorary life-long member, poster boy and advocate all in one. :)

We now call to order the first meeting of Gamers Anonymous. Mags, what did you buy and will never play this week?

Outcast was fantastic. Really, there's a lot of features and fascinating design in there that I'm sad never really took off. The AI was really excellent, too, with learning NPC behavior.

Plus, I miss voxels so hard.

Getting MoO and MoO 2. And I will buy MoM the very instant it is available. What's the deal with Outcast? I don't know much about it.

I only have a few games on GOG, but I have yet to play them. In my defense, of the three I own, I beat one of them years ago (The Longest Journey), so that really doesn't count.

My not installed list on Steam is shrinking. I've installed many of my Steam games. That way they will be ready for the day I sit down and play them all. :p

Ha! I'm really tempted to sig this. :D

Edit - I have actually played quite a bit of Minecraft, which is the last game I bought. In fact, out of the four games I've acquired this year, I've played three of them. I know, even I'm shocked.

Edit 2: Electric Boogaloo - Oops, I think I've actually bought six games this year, but still only played three. I guess that's not as impressive.

Edit 3 - According to Steam I've purchased 25+ games this year. I forgot about the holiday sale and the packs that I picked up. I definitely have a problem. :o

Bah. Not only did I grab the Deus Ex pack on Steam today, I also snagged Aquanox 1 & 2 (I loves me some Aquanox...) sigh.

I'll have to get the MoO pack too.

Annnnd I've spent the whole afternoon playing MoO2. I really need to remember to stop sending my fleets against the Altarans. I've lost my entire navy twice that way, in exchange for delaying the inevitable a turn or 2.

MOO 2: BAA :D

I've been listening to the MoO 2 soundtrack today. Man that was good stuff for back in the day.
