Skipping Prime this year (and quite possibly next year). Too many PAXes for me.
I need some alone time so I'm also leaving CoG for a while but I didn't really feel like making a thread for it. I'll be on facebook if anyone's looking for me.

Pretty sure it was the night before PAX, I wandered into the back while looking at my texts, most importantly the one from Kat, telling me where people were, and looked up to see the whole back table staring at me, and someone shouting, "Well you're walking back here looking at your phone, so who are you?" /deerinheadlights

I think I'll suggest to rinichanraar that we purchase our tickets now and see if we can go later. Not sure how money will be this time around, which is always the problem. Our main issue is transportation costs. They're fucking high this year.

Man I'm struggling with the decision. I have the money and can get the time off work. The only problem is I can't seem to get any of my friends to commit to coming along. I've done my fair share of traveling, and if there's one thing I've learned about myself, its that I hate going on trips alone. I always meet cool people and I'm sure PAX would be no different, but its just not the same when you dont have somebody from home along to reminisce with after its done...Bah, but I really want to go, and I'm gettin' antsy waiting on them to come around. Think I might just go ahead and do it.

Ha! I have you to thank for this, actually! I've got about ten or so titles on my pull list, and I'm not even caught up with most of them yet. This whole comic book obsession happened so quickly (and recently). I can't remember how, but I'm positive it's partly your fault.
I looked on my Twitter page just now, and of the 20 most recent posts, 12 or 13 of them either reference to or are related to a comic (though, to be fair, some of it is a conversation with Alex Segura that took place during WonderCon).
This was all an elaborate ploy so you could be safe from me at PAX this year, wasn't it?!

Registration and accommodations can all be found on the official PAX (http://www.paxsite.com/paxprime/index.php) website.
As for flight costs, I'd check on the of the aggregate websites, like Kayak or Travelocity or Priceline and see how much the flight will cost you.

Per Liquid, flight is $600-700 (direct, to go and come back). Hotel is totally down to you. Depends where you're trying to stay, if you're sharing a room with people, etc. Hit up this thread and see if you can't work out something with someone:

One of my big regrets is not seeing Beck when he was at Bumbershoot during PAX '08. I mean, what the fuck. I absolutely love Beck, but for some reason I didn't think to leave the convention center to see him at an extremely cheap concert. It still makes me upset thinking about it.

You still in Boise? If so I have room for one more in my car, and assuming everyone in the car is okay with it, probably floor space at the hotel.

Yeah. I am. I'm definitely interested, Loki mentioned it to me earlier but I wasn't sure if you were full or not so I didn't ask. I'm going to be out fishing for 2 weeks but consider me in if the rest are ok with it. I might occasionally get wireless when we're in port so I'll pm you my # and you can text me the details so I can paypal you whatever funds are needed.
