But I'm making a thread about Black Thorne 2. The first game is a favorite of mine, I have it on DOS, SNES, 32X, GBA...and I think that's it. I also love games that don't take themselves seriously, and anything proclaiming to have an epic hard rock soundtrack. And the giant shark. While Kyle is on a surf board. Shooting at it.

Blizzard needs to do this for many reasons.

Yeah, I wish we could get to the bottom of this. So many good properties. But since the time that Blizzard had multiple games instead of the three they do now, many of the founding developers have left. It may not be the same anymore. Hell, I even think the WarCraft universe went in the shitter starting with III.

Sad fact, I'd probably go back to WoW if they brought in a good bard class. I've tried and tried to get into LOTR just for the Minstrel class, but god those character models are just too ugly. There's just something so wrong about them, I can't look away.

It's the asses.

The faces, the rest of the bodies, all gorgeous, but for some reason everyone in Middle Earth looks like they're wearing Depends 3 sizes to big with a nice fresh load in them. Just big and bulbous and shapeless. Also the Dwarf models aren't great, they remind me a bit too much of that "Rubies of Eventide" game.

Really spoils the look of my demure yet hardened spearmaiden of Rohan when it looks like she's got a load on deck.

Worst part for me is the skulls/heads. Most games get them wrong, but LOTR gets it a special kind of wrong where the entire back of their skull seems to be missing. I'll say that was one of AoC's major strong points for me, people that looked like people.... fuck, now I'm sad Funcom screwed the pooch again.

Honestly, the only model I've found appealing in LOTRO are the Hobbits. Which actually pleases me, since it seems like not a whole lot of people play Hobbits and they seem to be the far more interesting of the LOTRO races.

The great thing with AoC's art is that they didn't go for straight realism. Whereas EQ2, DDO and LotRO were all really bland, AoC had an exaggerated, fantasy art style that made it look different and interesting without being as simplified and cartoonish as WoW.
