The phenomenon lovingly referred to as Valve Time (http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time) appears to have struck again. When announced last year, Valve said that the first DLC module for Left 4 Dead 2, entitled "The Passing," would be available "by the end of March." Well March is about to end and no sign of the DLC is in sight. But the folks at Co-Optimus have the dirt on when it's coming, and how much it'll cost. The DLC is now slated to be released April 27, with a cost of 560 MSP/$7 on the 360. The DLC will, of course, be free for Steam players.

Valve time can be whatever it wants to be as long as they keep dolling out free DLC for the PC/Steam users.

Will that $7 include access to The Passing in both L4D and L4D2?

I also need to know that, I sold my copy of L4D2 to buy FFXIII.

Hopefully they will run another sale on the game when this hits. I'd like to pick it up on Steam!

I bought L4D2 during the sale, but I'm not really a fan. All the characters are irritating as hell. They are the kind of people I'd want to get eaten in a zombie apocalypse.

Aside from the fact that I want the people I'm supposed to be saving to die horribly, the pacing of the game just feels...off. I can't really explain it. L4D had it just right. L4D2 seems to have a lot more moments where all you can do is run and taking damage is pretty much inevitable. Every level just feels like a mad dash to the next safe house.

I'm a fan of the mad dash, and find it to be a lot more fun than the corner camp.

I've found that I have the most fun when doing a "Death Race" in versus. It doesn't work as well in general campaign, but in versus it is insanity.
