My Nephew Screations has been building Peach's castle on his private server he set up. He has the mario game running alot of the times he is building just so he can try and get the details as close as possible.

The next time I'm on his server I will try and get some screenshots of it. He played on Voodoo's server quite a bit for a while but made his own so he could just build with no limitations.

Noticed Voodoo added Catacombs mod to the server and is looking at some others. Catacombs seems nice for those who like to explore and danger.

i've been meaning to hop back on the server, but I've been pretty absorbed in the 1.0 world that I generated for myself. I check the site every so often to see who is on, and one of these days I'll get back there I'm sure!

Badger would have done better I think but the trees on the course really didn't like him. Maybe the Sheep he has molested over the years paid the sheep to molest you on the course? :)

Any ways it was fun watching the stream of him play. Always get a good laugh from his streaming of Minecraft.

I like Dokucraft, but I kind of dislike that it's 8? 9? different packs all in one now.

There's some really good work in there, but the community driven nature of it and the huge number of random textures in all the different versions means it doesn't really feel directed or cohesive. Painterly Pack became the same way, after he started including so many options for every texture.

I like that the option exists to essentially build my own pack, but I don't actually want to do that. I just want somebody to put together something that looks awesome, and run it. ;)

EDIT: That said, Dokucraft Light still looks pretty awesome.

The current server at voodootechnologies.net which runs the Yggdrasil series of worlds will be going dark on 3/1/2012. I'll be putting up all the worlds available for download via the server's website. On the night of the 1st, we plan to go professional griefer on all maps after the final backup is made.

If you haven't played in a long time on the server I've been running or if you haven't played on it at all, this will probably be the night to experience. We plan to do before & after photos as well.

I wanted to let everyone know I started up a Technic style server for minecraft. It adds a ton of new items and building materials to the game. also machinery, a little magic, wireless redstone, industrialcraft, buildcraft and railcraft among others.

The server is no where as strong as what Mot or Voodoo had set up but so far it has run well with 3 or 4 people. I have decided to see if more are interested in joining us but I think my limit will be 10 people on max at a time. Need to see what my limits are. If I have enough interest I may see about getting a better server setup.

Feel free to message me and I will get back to you on server info. I want to limit access at first until I see how well it handles more people. So far it has been up 4 days with morning restarts.

to access server you will need the technic-tekkit client. you can find it at www.technicpack.net. It will not overwrite your original minecraft folder as it now installs to its own folders. There is a ful list of mods included, the multiplayer version is the tekkit but you get both included.

It sounds like you've basically got all the stuff I love from AMCO and made a multiplayer server out of it. Awesome.

Its not quite as big as amco but it does add a ton of stuff. I like the amco pack as well when I play singleplayer. The technicpack.net under tekkit lists all the mods included. So far it has been running well even on the old computer I'm using for the server.

Hopefully if I get enough interest, about 5 of us now, I can get someone with a better server set up to host. With the technic launcher and server it is pretty self sufficient. Feel free to message me for info. Don't want it public until I know just how much my Comp can handle player wise.

Another good singleplayer modpack I like is the DNS techpack. Mostly same as technic but with a few additions that are cool.

There's also the DragonTravel mod, which works like flightpaths in WoW and stuff.

Now that I keep a vanilla MC version around all the time (the Magic Launcher is awesome) I wouldn't mind a new server to play on. I've never been a fan of the servers with tons of clutter where you have to travel for 20 minutes away from the spawn to find a build spot.
