Final Fantasy VI Voice Cast - Your Picks

Say they do remake FF6 one day (for good or bad) who do you think would be good in the roles? As was mentioned in another thread, also giving me the idea for this one: Kefka played by Mark Hamil. It honestly makes sense, and I can't NOT hear Hamil's voice now whenever I read any Kefka dialog.

What do you guys think? Who should play what?

The Real Commander Shepard gets my vote. Although, the voice actress that plays Lightning in FFXIII is a close second.

I don't want Hamill as Kefka. I don't want Kefka to just be The Joker. Give Hamill any other part in the game; he's a fantastic voice actor. Just not that one.

I know people are burned out on him since he is in EVERYTHING but I think that Nolan North would make a good King Edgar. He could really play up the womanizer role.

Watch Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. It's actually a far more subdued, darker version of the character. I personally think something along those lines would be perfect for it. Plus, Hamil actually has good range. He could certainly darken and up the insanity level.

Return of the Joker was my favorite Batman movie before the Chris Nolan reboot, and I'm in no way saying Hamill isn't capable of it. If he never voiced the Joker, he would be perfect, absolutely perfect. However, no matter what, if he does it now, it would have to sound like the Joker. And I don't want that.

Just so my participation in this thread isn't just taking shots at other ideas, how about Jennifer Lien as Terra?

Thing is, Kefka is the Joker regardless, he just doesn't have a Batman to control him, may as well go all the way.

I'd put Nolan on Setzer myself, Edgar always seemed more sleazy in his womanizing.

Steve Blum would certainly have to have a role. He is in everything else, afterall. He'd be a fit for Locke.

Cam Clarke would fit Edgar with Nolan North switched to Setzer. Edgar has more of the goody-goofy womanizer thing going on which Cam Clarke would fit better.

I'm terrible with female voice actors sadly, only ones I'm properly aware of are Jennifer Hale and Cree Summer, and the later is more an infestation in my brain.

Gau should be played by Elijah Wood, Terra by Kate Beckinsale, Umaro by Ron Perlman, Strago by Anthony Hopkins, and Relm by Dakota Fanning.

I'm also thinking about live-action, but voice cast would work as well.
