Finally, the weekend arrives. Another big week of new releases so plenty to choose from but how much time to you really have to play them all? I don't have any time. Too busy with school so I'm cutting back on my "hopes" of what I will play...my hopes are:
Dead Space- Started to play this last night and it spooked me enough I had to stop playing. I scare easy so I'm not a good judge whether a title is truly scary but...DS is creepy enough.
Time Hollow- hoping to play this while I watch some TV. It seems each time I'm watching TV these days I'm falling asleep I'm so tired...
GH III- Maybe some Co-op with Ms. Claus if she's not busy playing Fable 2. Speaking of which...Mag you get Fable 2 yet ?
So what is everybody playing?

Playing Far Cry 2 with The Doors rocking in the background.

This weekend is quite frankly scary gaming wise. After picking up beta's for both Resistance 2 and CoD5 care of Fileplanet I'm also going to have to juggle that with Fable 2 and Dead Space. Oh and fit in Warhammer Online to boot. I think it's safe to say my head is likely to explode.

Gonna check out some Dead Space and Farcry2 and maybe a few minutes of EvE. Other than that... more paper writing time.

No idea. Will probably shuffle through some of my older titles and see if there'a anything that grabs me. I know I'm nearly finished my second run through of Mass Effect, but I haven't touched that in months.
I could also finally get into Episode 1/2 for half-Life. I only just got around to finishing off the game proper last week, so it might be an idea while it's still fresh in my mind.

This is what I'll be spending my weekend with too. And I'm the same way; I scare very easy, and I have to take breaks just to calm down, but it's just so damn good I can't stop playing.
Last night when I was playing chapter five something (can't remember what it was) scared the shit out of made both me and my girlfriend (she's watching me play), and we screamed so loud that our neighbor's dog started barking. :D

Finally finished MGS1-3. I just started MGS4 and finished Act 1 last night, I hope to get through Act 2 this weekend and play some GH:WT Sunday.

Still going on through Wild ARMs XF. I'm just about midway through the 4th act (at 52 hours), which is the last act before the final stage of the game. Hopefully I'll get a good amount of time with the game, since as soon as I finish it I'll be going to grab the new Star Ocean.
FFXI once again is back in the regular rotation. I'm working on San d'Oria [S] quests now, which I should be able to finish this weekend other than the very last one, which I'll need help with.
Other than that, I'll be putting some time into the Resistance 2 beta co-op. That is so much fun.

At least you had someone there to scream with. That was my mistake last night. Ms. Claus went out and I had a few hours to myself, decided to treat myself to playing Dead Space. I figure try it out to see how I would like it. Well, I like it...but it's not a game I think i'll be playing alone, in the dark, in an attic, in an old house where you can hear the house making noises...yeah...so I will be screaming with Ms. Claus on this game...
After I turned Dead Space off I went to play something safe....GH III was nice and noisey :p
I downloaded the Resistance 2 beta last night and will probably give it a go this week end. I'm going to pick up and play something on the DS or PSP this weekend too. I just don't know what yet.

Fable 2 this weekend. Had to restart the game twice so far because of bugs. Not cool.
I didn't find Dead Space scary. The monsters themselves, the amount of action in the game (and enemies) really ruined the "scare" for me. Too much fighting means I don't have time to be freaked out. I think they should have paced the enemy encounters better.

One wasn't a bug, but a bad development decision. I was boxed in an alley by townies and couldn't get past them. Had to restart.
Second time I somehow accrued 6 coins instead of 5 before buying the Music Box...and then the vendor wouldn't even talk to me so I could buy it--even my bread trail wouldn't work. The mission was borked. The mission that you NEED to even start your adventure!! I was ripped and had to start the entire game over again.
Hopefully that's the last issue I encounter, but having encountered 2 in the prologue alone, I'm skeptical.

Lol, that last one sounds pretty borked indeed. 6 coins hay, I'm going to try that out sometime:p
First one seemed like kinda of an accident though.
Didn't have any problems yet, except for a Hobbe getting stuck in a wall. Or people walking through a solid wooden door, but I can live with that.
hopefully going to start something on this list:
dead space

Far Cry 2 and lots of it. Fable 2 has been relegated to the 'I'll get to it later' shelf, as it just doesn't stand up, comparatively, in terms of sheer enjoyment. I'd like to also get some NHL09 played as I'm about 5 games from the Stanley Cup finals with my Be A Pro character.

Fable 2
Far Cry 2 (PC)

Halloween party this weekend, and a takehome exam to finish up. Probably wont have any time to game, but if I do, I'll probably work through W3: The Frozen Throne on Hard a little more. I'll be picking up either Fable or Fallout next week.
Fable 2 - It's awesome.
Warhammer Online - Still liking it a lot. They need to make all RVR scenarios score well though as people only want to do the ones that are fast and are high scoring.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Getting it from Gamefly. I've heard bad things, so no high hopes, but I'll give it a shot.

I'm always up for some traveling, but Maine's just a bit too far away, me being on the other side of the Atlantic and all.
And to be honest, I'm starting to get a liiitle bit less scared than I was booting it up for the first time, having played through five chapters now. But I'm still jumpy as hell when something all of a sudden bursts out of a wall to get me. So who knows, by the end of this weekend maybe I'll proudly be wearing those big boy pants too!

Going to try to get a little further in The Witcher. I'm at a point where I'm having some difficulty advancing in any of the quests; so I just dick around, gambling and killing Drowners in the sewers and swamp. can't seem to get past that BIG plant in the swamp area.
Also receiving a new GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L motherboard and an E8400 today so I''ll be installing that in my game PC! :D
Handing over my E6300 to my son so that he can do his 3D renders in a reasonable timeframe.
Fable 2. Lots and lots of Fable 2. I'm officially obsessed.

More and more Dead Space for me. I'm kind of a wuss when it comes to scary stuff, but I'm handling DS suprisingly well. The "survival horror" moniker really doesn't fit this game, honestly. This isn't something akin to Resident Evil. Your pretty much a walking, no talkin alien killing machine, which kinda takes the edge off. Still, space commando or not, Dead Space is freaky. Unexpected giant arms aside, the environment creates an incredibly tense atmosphere. There's been more than one occasion where I've been swarmed by necromorphs and end up running for my life, yelling "Ohshitohshitohshitohshit!". It wasn't a triggered event, just an average encounter. While not "scary", its certainly tense and full of suprises.
Two thumbs up so far. The end of Ch. 6 was epic and I'm looking forward to seeing what else can possibly happen.

No Fable 2 yet, although I'm planning on picking up the game in about 4 hours. I have a coworker coming to get me for a short shopping trip, and my goal is to finally snag a copy of the game. I would have had it earlier this week, but the Target downtown sold all of their copies and hasn't yet restocked the game.

Saint's Row 2: I'm at 86% right now. I'm shooting for all 1,000 gamerpoints on this. However, I also said that about GTA IV, a game I haven't popped in for about 3 months now.

I would think getting all the 1000 points is easier in SR2 than GTA IV since I don't believe you need to find pigeons or do crazy ass jumps to get what you want.

Basically, if you're a comic/Spidey fan, it's not the low-scoring game that IGN said it was. The webswinging is fun, the combat starts slow but turns awesome in a hurry - I'm liking it.

Thanks for the impressions. I was an old time Spidey fan, collecting for years the comic. Never been into the movies or much of the games, although it seems there is a consensus Spiderman 2 game is the one to pick up. I'm going to add this to my list of "i'll get around to playing".
