No. Far Cry 2 is by a different developer and uses a different engine.

While I am enjoying Far Cry 2, and it's beautiful in it's own right, this shows off that the Crysis engine still has a ton more muscle.

Not only does it look incredible, I'm not sure how he was able to incorporate the dynamic fire into Crysis. Really cool stuff.

Now if we could only get a Far Cry remake for CryEngine 2. :cool:

This is truth.

Crysis also had a much more dynamic world than Far Cry 2, which was a very static world. There were crates that could not be broken everywhere. At times it felt more like a large level than a world, as there was not too much I could mess with in the scenery.

Simple. Nothing. Nothing looks "the best" in my eyes.. Nothing does at all. Everything looks "Good" or alright.. It's just the mentality I follow. I know about a lot of upcoming engines I can't talk about. Will they be up to par? I can't say.

It depends on what you define "best" to be. If you mean best graphics in a technical sense, then ya Crysis probably has the most advanced engine, but even then, its only the most advanced in tropical island simulations.

There are things that Clear Sky/Far Cry 2/Dead Space/Fallout 3 can do that Crysis cant. So Crysis isnt the absolute best ever in every category, although I agree that it looks very good. Theres no best, because every game is so different in terms of its art style and what it needs its graphics to do. I'll bet the CryEngine 2 wouldnt be as good for corridor shooters as say the latest Source engine, or the id Tech 4 engine, or the Dead Space engine.

And you can already see, a mere nobody modder has added dynamic fire using the game engine.

Oh, and before you diss Crysis, I suggest you play Warhead on a decent Magic PC.
