View Full Version : I have synthesizer type thing...

...What do I do with it? I bought it at an instrument "scrapyard" dirt cheap. The guy said it works "through a computer". This is how it looks like:

Yeah, that says commodore. Did they even made synths? Also, it has no power source or speakers or outputs beside that weird connector, which is clearly a hack job. Can I do anything with it???

From what I know of Commodore, that was built for the C64 to be used in conjunction with the Sound Expander. Together, both would turn it into an ersatz synth.

Kudos on finding such a thing, but it's pretty useless these days.

That's just shoddy!

If I could get a pin-out, I might be able to do something with it.

The keyboard has no MIDI support that I know of so good luck with that. If you want a cheap and cheerful controller to play around with, M-Audio have a decent enough range.
