It's been a crazy week. Exams, surprise trips for my wife (without me), and most importantly, I went and saw God Module last night! It was a silly fun show, and while not as good as some concerts I've seen, it's been a long time since I've been to a show. It's also always good to pick up the newest release at a show.

So in celebration of this (and the fact that it's mere hours until spring break), I'm doing my random ten as all God Module. If you're here, join in as well. Not God Module, but whatever random music you've got. Give us your ten.

1. God Module - Your True Face
2. God Module - Dreams Collide (Arrythmia mix by System Syn)
3. God Module - Little 15
4. God Module - Me! I Disconnect From You
5. God Module - Sight
6. God Module - Altered Image
7. God Module - A Simple Restriction
8. God Module - Winter Torture
9. God Module - Falling in Space
10. God Module - False Pretense

Ya know, I've never actually heard God Module before. I've heard of them, but never heard them.

Heavy Water Factory - Schreck Bild
Haujobb - Penetration (Almalgamous Rmx)
thinkingman - I Can't Sleep
Haujobb - Metric (Remix)
16 Volt - Low
Bad Religion - Tomorrow (LIVE)
Ministry - Should Have Known Better
Dismantled - Armed And Ready
Excessive Force - Finger On The Trigger
Download - Killfly

Fear Factory - Machines of Hate (Self Bias Resistor)

I'll take that as a sign and listen to a lot of Haujobb today, starting with Freeze Frame Reality, probably one of my favorite albums.

They're dark electronic, with a bit of a silly streak (their website says they make "spooky dance music"). Check out Viscera if you're curious. I think it's one of their stronger albums, though their most recent full length (Let's Go Dark) is also good.

I like Viscera because aside from just having some good songs, in it they have audio clips from both the original 1930's Mummy movie and the 1980's Transformers movie, along with a cover of a Cure song. Good times. And one of the songs has sound effects that makes me think of the moon in Final Fantasy IV every time I hear it.

Nice. I know they're one of the groups I've always meant to check out but never got around to it, maybe I'll try to do some YouTube searching for stuff to listen to while I'm working today.

Maybe, but much is forgiven for

6. Skinny Puppy - The Singles Collect - Smothered Hope

Even if it is one of their songs that sounds way more like synthpop than Skinny Puppy. But it was from their first album, and it's still a cool song, so it's okay.

Seeing them perform that song live was one of the highlights of my year last year. That and Assimilate.

You know what? Shut up, that's what. They came through here when I was poor and couldn't afford to go. So that's your fault somehow and you should feel guilty for going and enjoying yourself.

No, I haven't. But it's okay. I've seen other shows, and I'll see more as time goes on. Some of my favorite shows are the ones where I can get a chance to say hi to the show and get the people in the band to sign stuff. I have a feeling that would be hard with Skinny Puppy.

That site seems interesting. Need to play with it a little more.
