Is there any chance of making the header images in the news posts optional? I'm used to scrolling fast past screenshots when I browse the site at work but with nearly every news post having an image at the top it becomes unmanageable.

I also think it gets redundant to read the title of a new post and then have to see an image of the name I just read in the title. When the title of a news post is "Sony declares bankruptcy", I don't need a big image that says "S O N Y" to let me know what the news is about.

Seems like no one else wants this, so I ad-blocked all the common folders you guys use for news post images as a work-around.

I do find many of the images to be a bit "excessive", especially the company logos.

Some of the images are unnecessary, but generally I think they enhance the experience. We're trying to pare down the excess, but I want useful images in newsposts.

I agree with my fellow Doctor that we should focus on useful images, and I think we should maybe back off a bit on images that aren't really necessary.

Some examples of (in my opinion) unnecessary images include the TWO MK vs DC images here in the OP (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=1649) (there really only needs to be one, if that), the fake Bioshock 2 image (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=1641), and the giant Sony logo here (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=1612). All of the rest I've seen lately, I feel, have been appropriate.

And the good Doctor's road to EA PR begins...

I really do not mind, If I am on a desktop, I have a full browser, and Opera scales them well on my blackberry.
