Best part - Voiceovers are still enabled with the classic graphics! A buy for sure for me.

Awesome! I loved the new voices in the original but I wasn't a fan of the new character sprites. Maybe they'll be better in the second one, but it's nice to have the option of switching back to classic without losing the voices.

Any chance of them patching that option into the original...?

Shiaaaahhht! That's awesome. I fired up MI2 last month, didn't play much of it. Just wanted to see if I could get it working in DosBox.
The remakes are great. I didn't like the new graphics of the original, but being able to switch on the fly was really really awesome and something that should be done as standard for future remakes.

I hope this continues. HD Loom would be awesome, The Dig even better, but might be a tough to redo the CGI cutscenes.

Very cool. Now what I really want is a proper release, either on Steam or GoG or SOMETHING, of Curse of Monkey Island. It's easily my favourite and aside from widescreen issues, should hold up very nicely.

There's a mod group working on it. It may or may not already be done.

the thing I'm really looking forward to in this one is the fact that the backgrounds are going to the originals hand painted ones done by Steve Purcell. Unlike with the first remake MI2 backgrounds where made based on those paintings and LA still has them on file so what we are getting are going to touched up high rez scans of that. Which is why the screens so far are looking so much much better than the MI1 stuff.

I remember playing the EGA then VGA versions of Monkey Island 1. That was really night & day.

How much wood would a woodchcuk chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

BTW, if you have old LA adventure games, you should try them in ScummVM.

SOLD.
(And wow, looking at those screens I realize this is one of those games I never fully played myself; went through it with a friend at the time, but he was the one "driving" and did some of the game without me. So it'll be almost completely new to me!)
