This lady has the most practiced fake-smile in the entire history of bullshitry.

It all makes sense...if you keep in mind that our current VP is allowed to choose which branch of the govt. his office falls into, and then change that answer when needed.

I love the "she was talking to a 3rd grader" excuse. Don't be fooled: this is an extension of the powers Cheney desires. She's dovetailed this type of comment at other times, when not speaking to a grade schooler.

We need a few MORE Palin threads. Some of you are obsessed with the woman. :D

Truly...we get it by now. Some of you think that Sarah Palin is an idiot. You hate her religious views. You despise her candidacy. Bottle that bile and you could fuel America through any future gas crises we may face!

I think this thread is actually about the apprently robotic woman with the smile that creeps me the fuck out. I seriously can't watch that clip for more than 10-15 seconds at a time without feeling really uncomfortable.
I had no idea robotics had progressed this far.
Edit: Is there a term for the effect opposite of "Uncanny Valley"?

You forgot that she's a murderous, mammal-killing white supremacist.
I watched the video again, and I must say... I used to hate Chris Mathews, but he's really got a fire in his belly over Palin. I love this guy.
He's like Olbermann, but with even more facts and intelligence. This video is priceless.

When someone running for vice president is asked what the vice president does and gets it not just wrong, but wrooooooooooooooooong, it's worthy of a thread.

I don't know why, but I just want to punch that woman in the face. Her smile alone makes me angry.

We get it by now -- you don't support either candidate.

Not only that, but watching people try to mop up after she makes 'oopsies is just priceless. It's funny when any politician does it, but I mean come on.. she really is an idiot.. and this woman is such a weasel.

As John Stewart said on TDS last week...
What the pfuck?
Nancy Pfotenhauer (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Nancy_Pfotenhauer) is a pro, that's for sure.

We need more hosts holding spokepeople to to the fire. I cannot stand what passes for the Q&A you see on shows like CNN and FOX, where they ask a 'hard-hitting' question and then let the campaign spokeperson rattle off the pre-written quote before saying, "Thank you for your time" and moving on.

Agreed. It was terrific to watch him put her on notice like that, even going to the extent of replaying the clip for her so that there simply was no confusion as to what was said by her candidate.
What I don't understand is how that kind of weak journalism is allowed to pass.. I mean, this is one of the first things that is taught in journalism school (at least around here it is); if you're conducting an interview, and the interviewee is clearly not answering your question, then you ask it again. If they duck it again, you ask it in a slightly different way. If they continue to duck and weave and change the subject, you call them on it!! You're (presumably) not just asking those questions to hear yourself speak, they're intended to illicit concrete answers.
Surely if the reporters themselves aren't aware of these basic journalistic principles, their producers are. Or their station managers. Or some person on staff
EDIT: Perfect example of how it's supposed to be done, GigaFuzz. LMAO

Thats awesome! What was that about? I mean, it was great seeing the same question being asked 12 times, because the guy was so evasive. Not answering the question just makes you look worse.

You guys want a fun slam? Nancy Pfotenhauer (the same lady from this video,) recently talked about there being "two Virginias," the DC suburbs and then "the real Virginia." A three time Miss Virginia, Kristi Lauren Glakas, smacked the Republican campaign (http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/10/on-road-richmond-virginia.html) for it.The witty Glakas had the line of the day. Saying she was doing her level best to push back against the stereotypes set by other former pageant contestants Miss Teen South Carolina and Miss Alaska entrant Sarah Palin (formerly Sarah Heath), she pointed out that Palin's hiding from the press was a giant turnoff and gave beauty queens a bad name.
"Even I've been interviewed by Chris Matthews."

It only gets worse now that the election is over and all the 'off the record' stories will start coming out.
Sarah Palin didn't know that Africa was a continent, nor what countries make up NAFTA [FOX News]:

As I said in other threads, there are plenty of people calling this into question simply because staffers are upset at the loss.
But, at this point I don't even care about this. What I do care about is how many threads we're going to have to see this in before it dies?

Hahaha, the funniest thing is that it's Fox news that is reporting this. I can's stand Palin, hopefully enough Republicans who like her hear and believe this. It scares me to think people want her to move up in polotics.

Well, if Congress is going to shoot for the Fairness Doctrine again, FOX News hasn’t got much time left to start chucking people under the bus and try to prove themselves.

But Fox News said it, it must be true! They always factcheck.

Yeah, I'd like to hear from someone other than "anonymous." Odds are we wont for a while, unless Palin starts gearing up for a run in 2012/2016. Of course if she doesn't come out of Alaska again, its basically pointless to anyone outside that state (though I would hope it was relevant to them).
