[Comics] The Great Amazon TPB Sale

If you're even a slight fan of comic books, I implore you to head over to Amazon and check out the absolutely insane sale (http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/books/4366/ref=cog-20) they're having on Trade Paperbacks. Omnibus editions which normally sell for $80-$100 on sale for $15. $30 collections for $8.50. I've already dropped a hundred, and may drop another bill before it's done.

But this goes to show, as Bleeding Cool pointed out, that comic prices are too high. Lower the prices and people will come out in droves to buy them.

I would buy many more trades but I hate that they separate long series in smaller volumes and charge too much for them--just a few volumes can run you $100 easily. I can't afford that so I don't read many comics unless there is a great deal.

So I got an email saying my order was cancelled.
Unfortunately, due to a pricing error, we sold many more than expected. In fact, we completely sold out — we don't have any in stock right now, and we're not even sure if we'll be able to get more.

As a result, we've had to cancel your order. I realize this is disappointing news, and I'm so sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

So it sounds like they honored the price for all the copies they had in stock. I've no complaint.
