A new Eugenics Inc. "ad" has appeared on RockStar Social Club (http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/), issuing a vague quarantine order locking down the mysterious company's compound due to a contagious disease outbreak. Eugenics Inc. is a physical location in GTA IV located in Bohan, though it doesn't play into any part of the game ... yet.

The quarantine announcement is actually the second Eugenics Inc. display to appear on Social Club, following a "Sperm for Cash" ad posted in April (now removed), which, to date, has never been an actual in-game activity. Obviously, Rockstar is proliferating the company's existence for some purpose, right?

Last we heard, Microsoft confirmed (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/08/20/microsoft-grand-theft-auto-iv-dlc-coming-this-autumn/) the exclusive GTA IV DLC for this fall -- so, any day now. The quarantine posting (unobstructed text after the break) has sparked some speculation that the DLC could be tied to Eugenics' mess. Namely, a potential zombie outbreak! With art assets (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS8ngs3jamA&feature=related) already in place, what's to stop Rockstar from turning GTA IV into a "28 Days Later" scenario? Keep your eyes peeled.

GTA IV + Zombies? I think Rockstar would have a money printing machine on their hands.

Yes, that's ridiculous, but people WILL believe that.

Niko Is Legend - Slowly, the entire city is turned into flesh-eating monsters. Niko must survive alone in the big city. Cars litter the streets, abandoned...

You should suggest this in the thread about games you would createI tend to avoid those kinds of topics. My thoughts about games to create is pretty much a neverending stream of conciousness, so I can never seem to get to a point where I consider the post "finished" and end up giving up.

Damnit! I have never cared for GTA, and have always kept it out of my home, but zombies! I mean, open city free-roaming full of zombies! I'd be sold. I would buy my first 3D GTA game (I did enjoy the first 2)

This is one of the two promised exclusive DLC packs for the 360 version of GTA IV. The $50 million DLC.

This is going to be awesome, I love zombie flicks and I like GTA games.

I hope there will be a boat load of multiplayer.. Imagine having 12 players on your team trying to survive an onslaught of zombies using vehicles/weapons and some kick ass team work.

It could be like Gears of War 2 horde mode.

You guys should check out the other thread. It turned out to be nothing more than a feature in current multiplayer. Locate the infected user and get infected yourself. Nothing to do with the actual DLC from what I understand.

This could still be a tease for what will be released. I still see this as a possibility, even if it is a slim one.

Zombies are always in demand. The board game being announced and Saint's Row 2 being the more recent ones. Way I see it, a zombie iteration of anything is always potentially in the works. This is good for zombie fans but bad for predictions. Let's hope though that this is indeed what they're building to.

I'd actually totally forgotten about it.
Also, my 360 is disconnected from the internet at the moment due to it's position in my house and my refusal to shell out for a wireless adapter, so it's useless to me regardless.

This would pretty much justify my GTA4 purchase in and of itself.

Hell, even if it's just a variant of the multiplayer I'd get this day 1.

For some reason it doesn't look like Duke Frukem is into Zombies.

I hope they are the 24 days later zombies and not the slow lumbering zombies from every other movie.

I hope they are slow and lumbering. Death should be a handicap, not an advantage. Mowing down slow movers is way more fun, anyway. And it means more when you get overwhelmed.
