Yeah, civstats does weird stuff when the uploader isn't running, which it wasn't for a brief time.

It's still working for me. I've been taking my turns in both Civilization games with no problems.

Make sure that you don't have a space after the end of the server name. I accidentally had a space there (which you obviously cannot see) and it wouldn't let me log on.

I gave it over to the AI, which means if you enter a new password for it you'll reclaim and reactivate the nation. Neither of the two mentioned above have responded to my PM yet.

As for my experience, Panthera overstates the case. My Mother has played FAR more Civilization 4 then I have.

It is interesting taking over for a player 50 or 60 turns into a game. It forced me to really think about what the hell I was going to do. If anyone had of attacked me when I first joined up, they would have walked right through my civ. The previous player was clearly new at the game, and his only military unit was 5 turns march from the nearest city. It's a good thing I wasn't right next to Panthera, that war monger. :D

Guns and Butter is a hard choice, I agree. Still, I'd not have left my capital completely uncovered. I've lost too many cities over the years to wandering barbarian's for me to trust on the benevolence of my fellow man.

The Persians decided being in first was too exhausting and decided to sit around and smoke hookah and eat kabob all day instead. The player to conquer our last city gets the "Great Kabob" wonder.

Besides, the AI should be good enough to put up something resembling a fight. Unless one of your neighbors has spent the last while building up an invasion force, you should survive until you get back.

Hey, I left you with 3! cities, and two of those were your biggest ones. It was the AI that decided to gank you the turn after my generous offer of peace (though I expected it when I saw his army on your borders). I only required... was it three or four techs to stop the attack? However many you had that I didn't anyway. :)

After all, I DID warn you what would happen to you several turns BEFORE my armies crossed your borders. Remember, when someone eats a nation on your border and has more troops visible on your border then you have troops total, and then they threaten you... you'd better believe it :)

I do thank you for the land and tech though. I've finally managed to pass Wraith in score. If it makes you feel better, I may just attack Japan in a couple turns. I was planning to take on Germany first, but I'd hate to see you taken out of the game.

Hmm... A suitable bribe might be all that's needed to turn my need for living room in a direction that will benefit you. Think on it. :)

Things are really starting to get tight it seems. LordDon is down to 1 city thanks to the AI, and Mag seems to be having... issues.

By the way, folks in hot water, if you want to keep playing talk to Panthera about taking over the Japanese. They are in a decent position, and have a stronger military then the Germans.

I don't suggest anyone take over the Germans. I need more living room, and they have a weaker military then the Japanese.

If anyone who played earlier is curious, we're down to three active players. Myself, Wraith and Jalinth. There's also two AI players - Violent and SnapJackelPop, both of whom are holding on fairly well. It's 1960 and the world has seen war on a ridiculous scale, including several matched nuclear exchanges.
