Eidos has provided us with some new screenshots for the upcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld.

Tomb Raider: Underworld is scheduled for release on November 18th for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, PS2, Wii and DS.

wow, low bandwidth or video memory users beware. Well, by the time they see this it is too late.
The game looks real good. Laura seems younger in this to me.

The detail in the first and seventh ones is pretty impressive, although I'm not overly impressed by the fire in the early shots. However it looks an awful lot better in the final shot. And why are they that massive?

The last thing I needed was to get excited over another game this year. This will have to wait, but I want it real bad now.

I liked the video. Lara definitely knows how to handle a pole.

I dialed back the size of the screenshots to something more managable, but which still look impressive when clicked on. Hope it helps.

Was there any reason the screens were that size to begin with? They were over twice the resolution that any of us will be able to play it at.

Was there any reason the screens were that size to begin with? They were over twice the resolution that any of us will be able to play it at.That's the resolution Eidos sent them to me in. But even for assets from a publisher, they were ridiculous.

I should have scaled them back before posting, though.

I'll admit the graphics could be with stick figures and I'd still buy it...what I saw of the screens, forget the video...my connection here is to slow...OMG...I need to play this...but even TR may have to take a back seat to writing papers...I hate school :(

I haven't gotten really into a Tomb Raider game since the first one. I've been meaning to pick up the previous two 360 releases, but my backlog is already too big.

Aliens were in in TR 1 if I'm not mistaken. I remember going WTF is this shit at the time. Strange that every cool archeology/ movie game has some stupid Alien/Monster climax. Indy4, Uncharted, WTF

I haven't gotten really into a Tomb Raider game since the first one. I've been meaning to pick up the previous two 360 releases, but my backlog is already too big.

TR is the only game that I stuck with despite it's "eccentric" like control, well the old games anyway. The precise jump and all that you had to figure out ...usually i'll stay away but the game always had me playing. I even played all the old sequels...so take my buying advice with a grain of salt on TR titles :).

That said...you should eventually go and find TR Legend. It fixes so much of what ailed the old series. And i'm sure you can find it in the discount bin so I don't feel to bad recommending the title despite being a total TR fanboy :D

The last boss in Tomb Raider was a legless demon, which was weird enough. It wasn't an alien.


Purple Santa - thanks for the feedback. I'll probably pick up Legend at some point. I too played through several of the old TR games, although I eventually gave up.
