So I'm just going to use this thread to pimp out my t-shirts. Website type thing isn't in place just yet but you can be sure I'll post about it when it is. But ya my shirts game last week so I thought i better get around to posting some pictuers of the lovely things that turned out better than I'd hope they would really.

These are just quick photos I took so my friends could see the colours and such before they buy

Shirts will likely run at around £17 which is a bit on the steep side but most shirts tend to cost £15 and some "designer" stuff with set you back £20... it's the best I can hope to do on the short runs I'm working with at the moment.

Website myspacey shoppy thingy soony... will probably be running a paypal based shop for the moment and I don't know about international shipping and such but it will be sorted soon I hope.

But thank man, yup my designs and such things, it's pretty awesome. There not perfect but they've turned out better than I thought and I learned a lot and now I just have to get a website up and start whoring my self about town. I'm going to be selling at the merch stand of a few local gigs thank to a friend whos a promoter and then I have plans to do some fully joint nights with him. I used to promote quite a few gigs so it's not all new to me and if I can get my brand know as a part of the local music scene it gives me a real boost. If i can sell most of them I'll add designs and expand runs and such.

Truth is I'm not honestly expecting to do very much, it's more something to fill the time and stick on my CV for jobs and the like. I love it and wouldn't have risked the money if I didn't think I could at lest get some of it back but it's a big step trying to sell stuff hehe

colour will change depending on what the logo is doing... like every page of the site will have a different colour and so on

Not sure yet, I'm still nailing down the exact pricing for things but each shirt is likely going to be £16 (can't hope to go any loser) which is about $23 at the moment so with shipping it will likely come to $50-55 I think. Which is a good chunk of change I know but most shirts over here go for £15-17 and designer ones can start out at £20... so I think £16 is the pricing I have to go with if I want to try and at lest do some business rather than just one run :)

What you might look into is a US or Canadian Based print-on-demand type service if you get enough demand for shirts in the states. . .

I'm not a fan on the print on demand stuff, firstly it's always going to be the lowest quality of product and as an indy seller your best bet is to make sure your stuff is of the best quality. I could have got the shirts printed digital which would have been easier, quicker and cheaper than going with screen prints but it just doesn't have the same quality.

I'm also always a bit hesitant with these services given how strict they can be over copyright, not that I think they are out to steal the copyright away from you but some times they'll insist that you don't sell the design else where. I read through a lot of the legal stuff from those sites a few years ago and I decided then that I'd rather keep total control of my stuff... just a real headache

It's something I'll look back in to but for now I may just see about taking a hit on my profits to ship over seas until I can either bring my over all costs down or find another way of dealing with it.
