I've been responding to some blog posts I found interesting or thought-provoking in some way. Most people have interesting things to say. Also, no comments doesn't mean no-one reads your blog, post anyway.

Well there isn't a "views" counter or anything so i just assumed my blog isn't worth reading to the general public here.... :(

If I find the person to be interesting enough, yeah, I click over to their blog and see what they've rambled on about there. I usually don't leave a comment either, though.

Sometimes I miss getting comments. But I'll blog.

Don't blog to have others read it. If you want others to respond, make a thread and start a discussion. People have started threads over the most personal inane shit, no reason why you can't do it yourself ;). If you blog, do it for yourself. Visualize it as a conduit of your thoughts, not merely your opinions.

I like feedback. It motivates me for my next write up.

Agreed. Doing my blog, I was hoping to get more criticism on my writing, but that doesn't really happen. Still I have been using mine to help me evolve my writing style and I think it is working.

If it makes you feel any better, I will read your blog. I read every blog post. The thing about the comments is that there are very few comments on any of the blogs. Many times I have seen that I am responsible for half of the recent comments and most of those were from the previous night.

And now is the time for me to say: This.

And Kielaran is a nice guy.

I blog because I just want to post shit, not caring if others read it, and I firmly believe that's the reason why someone should blog. Though, for the record, I do read most blog posts.

On a totally unrelated note - Jeffool, didn't your signature at EvAv used to read:

You're read Jeffool the post, now read Jeffool the blog? That seemed cleverly funny to me.

Sorry I notice such things. :o

... I thought I'd typed the same thing.. Wow! Let this be a lesson to you all, I don't know what the fuck I'm typing here. I'm banging the keyboard on random parts of my body and whatever happens, stays. (Thanks civvy!)

Thanks civil. The blogs always interest me and they are far easier to keep up on compared to the 50 thread that are made every day.:)

I only post on my blog when I'm drunk.

I posted a comment on your blog, but it was a vague threat, which is probably not the type of feedback you're looking for.

I made one blog entry, and got like 50 comments. Flooded my inbox with notifications. Maybe you are better off without?

As opposed to Santa here, who posts a blog saying it will be a running thought than not continuing it at all. (Write more spousal gaming stuff Santa!)

I'll be the first to admit, it warrants enough free time.

I wouldn't be discouraged. I was disappointed by lack of comments on my music blog (link in sig) but I went ahead and put a little code to track the traffic going to it and was surprised to find that I'm getting several hundred hits a week (that aren't me), so just because people aren't commenting, it doesn't mean people aren't reading.

There's a REALLY GOOD CHANCE, that traffic is spam bots looking for unauthenticated posting abilities. Not to knock you down a notch, but it's true.

Nah, you can track their individual IP's and see how they got to your site. I had done minimal promotion through MySpace and Twitter and stuff, there were a lot of people coming through Google searches and stuff though and lately bands have been throwing the link around after I review them and stuff. It's really neat to look at all the stuff.

Well maybe it's just me then. I attract SPAM :) I needed askismet to handle most of it for me since I liked running an open blog and moderating all the posts. I don't do the blog anymore, but the site is there for my next big thing (or lack there of! It's a secret!)

I think we need a more prominent way to show the blog. With 1Up as an Analog, if you click on a person's avatar, boom, right to the blog.

My blog would probably be a very long, critical examination of sexuality in the Metal Gear series. You see why I refrain?
