$59.99 plus the most horrible drm yet conceived? do they actually want to sell this game? I cant believe they expect PC gamers to pay full price for a game that came out in november on other consoles. I know modern warfare 2 set the precident but at least that game came out on the same day across all platforms. Really getting sick of this shit. Remember when that extra 10 dollars was for the "next gen console tax"? Ubisoft is getting really close to leapfrogging Activision in its douchebaggery.

Agree and saw that too. I'll get it in 2 years on PC during a 75% off Christmas sale.

In 2 years the servers will be off and the game won't work. Yeah, I got a good laugh when I saw the price. I guess we can expect more $60 games for PC.

What garbage. I love that they reserve the right to shut off the servers with thirty days notice... You mean the servers that are REQUIRED for a user to play the game? Sweet, thanks.

$60 is a ripoff for console games. For PC games it's a fucking riot.

My sentiments exactly. I remember Ubi was promising to equalize the console and PC prices. Wasn't this a big deal or so 4 months ago? Doubt it'll last. I guess they just think this is a big enough title to do it with. Don't think they'll get far with that DRM and this price tag. That's one more shovel of shit than I'm willing to take.

the price rises are purely a "fuck the PC" move. There are not he console fee to deal with and so they are making the same money off the lower priced PC game buuuuuuuut clearly the PC game is going to be pirated to hell so they may as well screw the few people dumb enough to buy the game out of there money.

And they wonder why piracy is such a problem.

I'm getting on board with the "they're gradually fucking up their PC games so that when they stop making them nobody gives a shit" idea.

The whole concept is popping up everywhere. I went into the bank the other day and I realised that there was nothing that the cashier could do that I couldn't do either online, or at a machine in the branch. They couldn't even draft a cheque. If I wanted to do anything else, I had to see a "customer advisor." It got me thinking that they were planning to do away with the cashiers altogether and cut out 75% of their branch staff. If they can't actually do anything useful for the customer, the customer won't give a shit when they're all fired.

My suggestion is we mock incessantly anyone who buys AC2 or any game with this DRM; particularly when they have problems.

Maybe. I get annoyed as fuck when I can't even call a customer service number but have to email them instead though.

We can bring back McCarthyism in the videogame forums and blackball people. And we can also point out other people we THINK bought the game. We don't have to have proof.

Sure, I bet if we looked we would find all the extra parts you need to run the game hidden under your floor boards or a laptop set up behind a false wall in your attic. If you make us look that is what we will find. Am I making my self clear? I'm a PC patriot and your attempts to cast doubts on that with your dirty ubiloving lies is just more proof to stack against you. Just admit it and renounce them and we will only beat you a little and the jail time will be small.

I was, until they announced this shit.

Now they can get fucked. I'll probably pick it up used for PS3.

All the more reason to play it on 360/PS3.

It's 50€ for me so it looks like they went the other way with equalizing the price across different regions. Some publishers lower the price in € slightly to compensate for the exchange rate but now they price matched you guys with us instead

Reading this made me think of The Lives of Others only instead of a typewriter it was a motherboard or video card.

Pretty much this. I really dug the first one (on the PC) and had fully intended to purchase the second (on the PC...you know, once it hit a good price)

Now I can't play it if I buy it, so buying it seems unlikely.

I'll probably pick it up for PC if it hits a sale. Seriously, FF13, SMT: Strange Journey, Infinite Space, and Metro 2033, I've got too much other shit to play.

Of course, it's entirely possible I'll be weak and pick it up anyway. It's not unlikely.

When it's on sale, and with the eventual crack. I'll pay for it and I'll play it the way I goddamn want to play it, thank you. I see it the same as grabbing nocd cracks off gamecopyworld for games I legitimately own.

No offense intended at all, but for me this is a reason to never play the game. Ubi would get my money if I bought the console version too. I will never play AC 2.

Well, okay, if it is $2.50 during Steam Xmas sale 2013, maybe then.

I canceled my preorder of the new Splinter Cell 360 for them and their DRM. Fuck'em. I am tired of these corporations and their disdain for the people that support them.
