I have played through both Borderlands and Assassin's Creed. I can go through Borderlands again, but I don't have my copy of Assassin's Creed (it was stolen) and I played that about a year or so ago so my memory is less sharp about it.

Oh my god, why are you suggesting MMOs?! I know more about ST:O than GA, but I don't know that you could dig deep enough into either in 2-3 weeks for a fair assessment. This is a contrived example, but if we played WoW or WAR for a month we'd probably hit the level cap and never do anything once we're there.

Besides, if we're doing an "MMO" of any sort, it's going to be Dragonrealms. ;)

As for sports, I don't think any of us fit into the "Madden" crowd, with Mot being the closest. I think the last sports game I played was Tiger '08, unless you count Blood Bowl.

We also talked about doing Dead Rising early on, but if you look at the list of shows we've done there were a lot of titles that could be considered survival horror at the start (three of the first five). Having beaten ME1 at least 6 times, I can roll with that. If survival horror is currently out, that crosses off Fatal Frame 2 at least for a good while. I do think it's an excellent title to be considered at a later date though, perhaps when you're not so survival horror fatigued. :)

Also, I'd like to suggest the first season of Sam and Max. :)

I actually played DR for a couple months last fall. I read on a couple forums that there was still some furry activity in the game, but I didn't come across any. Maybe it only shows up if you're playing one of those races or are in the right place at the right time.

After calling them it turn out someone had hacked my account and created something like 50+ new Content IDs on it. They took the credit card off of the account, refunded the charge, and disabled the acct. I never bothered to find my CD-Key to have it reactivated and have the password reset.

I'm sure my Scorpion Harness and Haubergeon are long gone along with anything else of value I had, and there's no way in hell I'll start up again just to farm my like mad.

Of course not, but... from my perspective hl got me into pc gaming hl2 was just a good game. Leaving me to have a much better respect for hl1 over 2. Basically, hl1 did a lot more for me then hl2 did, therefore I value it a lot more.

Half-Life's use of scripted events was revolutionary. A sequel certainly cannot be realistically expected to make a similar revolutionary step forward. What HL2 was, however, was a perfection of all the things HL set out to do. As such, it's a much better game imo.

I can honestly say that though them, it has led me to believe that HL2 could have been vastly improved by implementing some of these things you find in the various MODS people come up with. I still believe that stand alone, it is an excellent game that set the bar for a lot of things in video games in general.

HL2 SMOD and the things modders have branched off of, using SMOD as a basis are some of the funnest times I've had playing an FPS.

what other game can I drop a live grenade, pick it up again, and then kick it at a massive alien tripod to kill it? And have no QTE gayness holding my hand? Only in a HL2 mod.

Good sir. I have modded several of own weapons for SMOD redux, and altered some of the scripts for that mod as well. I know much of what you speak. CSS Sci-Fi is also Extremely well done. Some of the missions work so well with the constraints of the CS:S maps. Lots of fun :)

Sorry, this is super late, but HL2 brought about CS:S, DoD:S, and anything with a source attached to it in its name. HL1 was made from a heavily modified Quake engine. The Source engine was MADE for Half-Life 2. I mention this in the podcast and it gets confirmed much later on.

Have you guys considered TF2 as a game for the show? I think it would be a good one because while most of the FUD's love the game to death, I know there's at least one who really could care less about it, leading for some interesting discussions/arguments.

With all the new additions that have come to the game over the years, I think it would be a great topic to discuss the actual evolution of the game and how implementing things as simple as "hat drops" have cause waves of people to return and consistently play the game.

It would also be fun to see you guys return to something REALLY old, either a game you all cherished/despised from the SNES/Genesis or N64/PS1 era. I think the last game you guys tackled that was that old would be Earthbound, which turned out to be a riot to listen to.

We have. The problem I see with the adventure title - though it is probably my favorite genre - is that there is little opinion to be had. You either like it or you don't. We will all laugh at the chicken pulley or we wont. Basically, since there is only one way to play the game, it becomes a conversation of content alone and that leaves little room in the realm of discussion.

I'd like to see the FUDcast take another look at Dawn of War 2. In the time since the original show, not only did the FUDcast gain a new member, but the game itself has gone through many changes. New Expansions, a new game mode, new characters, TONS of balancing and a completely different take on the Single Player aspect of the game.

Of course, I'd nominate myself to be the guest on that show, seeing as I was also part of the original. :)
