2K Games has announced the first part of what they call an "aggressive" plan to bring downloadable content to Bioshock 2. The first module will be the multiplayer-centric Sinclair's Solutions Test Pack, set to hit in March. The DLC will add:
• Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
• New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
• 20 new trials
• A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
• Five additional masks
Some of the new content will only be available if you're level 41 or higher in multiplayer. The DLC will cost 400 MSP/$5.
While the first DLC pack adds only to the multiplayer of the game, 2K promises that future modules will also add new areas and goodies to the single player campaign.

I'll take a look at the singleplayer DLC when it's released, but I don't have much use for the MP stuff, especially if most of it compliments top-tier ranks, which I will never reach. :)

The multiplayer focus of this is silly since Bioshock is single-player first, but I guess I should feel encouraged that they're taking a little more time getting the SP stuff out. Looking forward to see what they do with it: Add-In or Add-On?

Have you tried it yet? I did, played a shit ton of it... it's actually very, very fun.

I am enjoying the MP, but I don't think it has a long shelf life.
I'd check out SP DLC, but MP would only make my list if I had nothing else to play, and from someone that hasn't picked up ME2 after only getting 10 hours in I have a whole lotta games to get through.

I agree, I don't really get what's wrong with it. Sure it's simple, rough and not really essential, it's still a riot when it comes together. I'd rather play this than CoD or any other "hardcore" game.
I think some people are hating for hating sake, not really giving it a fair shot. Like UC2, it's just a separate unit form the main game, not doing it a disservice at all.

In the short time I played the MP for Bioshock, I have to admit that I had more fun than I did when playing MW2. If the game drops to about $30 and peeps are still playing it online I would consider buying it just for the MP.
I think people complaining about it... just haven't played it yet.

Is that really the magazine for a semi sticking out of the side of a revolver?
