Amnesia Game (http://www.amnesiagame.com/)
Developers' Blog (http://frictionalgames.blogspot.com/)

Frictional Games is the same studio behind the fantastic first person survival horror games of the Penumbra Series; Overture, Black Plague, Requiem. Which are atmospheric, anxiety creating, and downright some of scariest horror games to be released recently on the PC platform. I'm excited to see something new from them, and judging from the teaser video, I'm preparing to be scared out of my pants by their latest creation.

If you're a fan of Frictional Games, it would really help this small game developer if you would pre-order this game right now. It is currently only available from the studio's online store, at $16.00. The studio promises extra content if they reach 2000 pre-orders before the 31st of May.

Here is the Teaser video!
Make sure to full-screen it, and turn your sound up.
Warning: Not for little kids, or man-babies.

(If the video is too dark at the end, it is because the player is actually hiding in a closet)

That looks amazing.

I've got the Penumbra games on Steam from a sale. I think I need to move those to the front of the queue! Are they generally more atmospheric horror than jumpy-startle-horror?

Both, but more atmospheric yes. Some places in the games build up so much tension, it makes you want to stay standing still in one place. To say more, would be spoiling the games. :o

Beware, a lot of people have said that they couldn't even finish any of the games.

Heheh, that'll probably be me, then. I can manage Silent Hill, but the first-person perspective looks a lot more... visceral. I'll give them a try! And this title is definitely on my radar now.
