Better late than never I guess, but damn are they making up for it. From TheSixthAxis (http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/02/16/darksiders-demo-lands-next-week/):
This “engaging and challenging” level represents a cross section of Darksider’s key features, and contains puzzles, equipment and two boss battles – the monstrous demon Jailer and the savage bat-winged Tiamat. The demo is expected to take players 90 minutes to complete.

“We are really pumped to be bringing a playable demo for Darksiders to Xbox 360 and PlayStation3,” said David Adams, General Manager of Vigil Games. “We really wanted to give gamers a true idea of the variety of gameplay that the game offers and so rather than just making a standard 20-minute demo version of the first few levels, we decided to give away this massive level and reveal the true essence of the game.”
Bolding mine there. Damn. For those of us who haven't played the game yet this should be nice.

I'll be sure to check it out. After what I've heard, I'm curious to see how well it plays.

Damn dude, the first dungeon? That's a pretty huge demo.

That'll be a nice refreshing change. I'm getting a little bit sick of 10-minute demos. I'm also curious about this game. I've heard a fair bit of positive chat about it, but it's still off my radar.

This is awesome, the first dungeon was great.

Great news. I've heard so much about this game that I've been thinking about renting this, but a demo will be so much sweeter.

Excellent news, a proper demo like that could be just what I need to push me into a purchase.

I agree, the first dungeon was very good, although it does lack some of the fun later stuff (once you have more equipment) it's a good representation of the game. So if you like the demo you'll love the game. Provided when it mentions Tiamat that it doesn't END when he/she shows up, damn cock tease demos that do that!

I wish more demo's went this way, rather than giving misleading representations of what a game is like (I'm looking at you Brutal Legend, even though I loved you still).

Good move on their part. Only demo's this good are probably Bioshock and Batman.

This is a great idea. The first dungeon was where it all comes together.

I can't wait, I didn't purchase it right away, wanted to try it first. This is great news, it's exactly what I would want every demo to be like.

"For an average gamer." Whatever that means.

If it's the entirety of the first dungeon, it is going to take a while.

Yeah, I have to think that it'll be a truncated version of the dungeon, because I'm pretty sure it took me way longer than an hour and a half to finish. Still cool, and I hope it drive more people to buy it.

The demo sold me really, I was not sure if I would really like the game or not but I played about 20 min's into the demo and liked what I played. Seemed Amazon was having a sale on it as well and I picked it up for 39.99 for the 360 so I don't think I'll be disappointed.

This reminds me that I need to finish this game.

The demo satisfied my desire for Darksiders. It was like a shorter game only lacking the beginning and ending cinematics.

I actually enjoyed very much what I was playing, but can't imagine buying it and spending 8-10 more hours in that world. Hour and some was just right for me.

You should be good. Though I think you'll get a good laugh once you find all of the pieces of the Abyssal Armor. :D
