So, me and my friends somewhat frequently get together for video gaming. We've got Smash Brothers, Mario Kart Wii, Castle Crashers, Rock Band 2, Soul Calibur IV, Marvel Ultimate Alliance.. But the game that gets the most play consistently is.. Boom Blox
I mean, it's cutesy and overpriced, but damn if it ain't a blast for a party. I think if the title had launched at $29.99 it would have gone over like gangbusters.
Anybody else have lots of fun or constant requests for it to be played? It's a shame it doesn't have online play, although you'd really need a microphone to talk smack with each other.

Yah, I think I just have an issue paying $49.99 Cdn for it. I would really like to try it out, so I'm just waiting for the price to drop.
This is a game that definitely shows the fault of the Wii and it's lack of demos.

Boom Blox is great, but the Steven Spielberg experiment didn't pay off, the price was too high, and the ad campaign was non-existent. I still love the game, though. I just wish the level creation feature didn't suck.

This is actually what I have from GameFly right now, and I must admit it's a lot more fun than I thought. I'm still debating whether or not I'll keep it, though. I don't know that I'd want to play it after I've completed all the adventure/exploring modes.
It got me to turn my Wii on though, and that takes some doing these days.

I only own four Wii games, and this one of them. Everyone I've played it with has loved it. I feel your pain on the level creator, it just doesn't give you enough control over the objectives and win conditions.

It's not perfect by any stretch, but if you edit an already-existing level, you have a bit more control over things. You should try that out if you haven't already.

I love this game, but sometimes avoid it because my roommate obsesses over it and tries to get me to play it with him all the time.

This is a game I have wanted to pay $30 for for a long time. When the price drops, it will definitely be mine.

I love Boom Blox, if I get a Wii, I will get it.

Spigot was trying to get me to get this game. I just don't see the fun in it. I rarely buy Wii games.

This is one of the games I would pick up if I ever buy a Wii. I've always wanted to try it.

If I get a Wii, this will be one of the games. It sounds like an orgasm of joy.

Have you ever watched one of those building demolition videos? You know, where someone pushes the plunger down and there's a boom, and then the whole building collapses? Boom Blox is like that. Except there's no sissy plunger, you throw a ball into the building and it collapses. Except when it explodes. And you can retry it, with each time coming out different. And you can have your friends demolish the same building, trying to beat your score.
