SyFy and THQ Attach de Blob to "SyFy Kids" Brand

We knew that THQ was planning for more de Blob goodness, but I don't think anyone expected something like this. THQ announced today that it is entering into a partnership with science-fiction channel SyFy to create a new "SyFy Kids" brand that will target 2 to 17 year olds with new games, programming, and merchandise. And the new brand is launching with THQ's Wii-exclusive de Blob franchise front and center.

Syfy will initially focus its de Blob development efforts on webisodes, television and consumer products. THQ plans to publish new games based on de Blob across multiple gaming platforms in its fiscal year ending March 31, 2011.Honestly, more de Blob can't be a bad thing, regardless of the medium.

"SyFy Kids" huh? they gonna start showing cartoons on SyFy?

...anyone remember that show "Space Cases"? Sorta like a retarded Nickelodeon version of Farscape, several years before Farscape? The dude who was the first Black Power Ranger was in it. lol.

but one of the cast members ended up in Firefly...with the same role as "engineer". Appeared in X-files, one of the Star-Gate series.
