And how do I get rid of it? I have no idea what I pushed to cause this, and random button spam has yielded no results. I'm referring to that annoying bar on the left-hand side.

It looks like you created a toolbar from your "My Computer" location. Can you right-click up at the top of the toolbar to get some options? (I haven't used Vista much, but that looks pretty much like custom toolbars in XP, just with bigger icons.)

Oh I can still do toolbars when I get Vista? Awesome. I use one for my desktop.
