Our favorite 3E (third Echelon) operative is back and out for blood in the latest installment of Ubisoft Montreal's Splinter Cell series. And while the video's have titles, I'm not going to be the one to give them away

Looks badass, hopefully in the actual players hands the gameplay looks equally as smooth. I don't want to clumsily stumble through the game when I could be diving out a window to confuse thugs. When the colour washes out is that supposed to indicate when Sam is hidden, or in danger?

Shouldn't this be in General gaming?
Also, looks great. Love the apparently faster paced gameplay.

It's an Xbox 360 exclusive, isn't it?
Unless the PC is getting it as well, but given Ubi's recent remarks about their PC gaming side of things, I'm not so sure.

It shows when he's hidden.

Not only is it coming to the PC day and date (http://www.ubi.com/US/Games/Info.aspx?pId=7933), it is also highly likely that it'll be among the first to use their dreaded new online-only DRM solutions.

Man, does that even count as a PC release then?

I love how in the third video, Sam creates a scene when entering the level, but is able to sneak around the level, going in and out of windows, etc. without every enemy being able to follow his every move. Typically in stealth games, once you're noticed, enemies never lose sight of you. Here, it looks like you can actually use the environment to break enemies lines of sight and get the upper hand on them.

Yeah the last known position thing they have going on is going to open up a whole new way to play the game.

Cannot wait, if this is as good as Choas Theory we are in for a fucking ripper of a time. I hope it's even better and I hope we get treated with a much better story than the one in Double Agent.

As long as hackers are able to make a no-fuck-with-consumer DRM patch, then yes. :D

That's the silhouette of Sam when he goes out that window I presume. The player is aware of where the AI thinks he is.
