Every day it has become apparent that the PC Gaming industry is seeing the very big return of small development houses, better known as the Indies. In this podcast we discuss that topic as well as have a lengthy discussion about the hardware choices every PC Gamer has to make. While this recording was postponed by a week, we definitely made up for it as its length is just over two hours. This podcast's cast are Adam [Grifter], Bryan [Smoof], Eric [Ravenlock], Jacob [MagGnome], Robert [Trebor], Warren [Mayhem] and Clayton [Voodoo].

I don't even remember right now what all I said I would throw in the show notes - I'll pick up anything I missed after I re-listen - but I do know one of the things was Judith, the new freeware storytelling experiment by Terry Cavanagh.

We've got a thread about it right here on COG (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=7545), so you can grab it from the links there. :)

Is it bad that I don't remember what I talked about on this episode?

I'm going to have to listen through it as a reminder. :o

No. I don't remember what I said. I was a bit tired while we were doing this episode and I didn't have much to say and can't really remember what happened :P

That's the other thing I wanted to link to: a video for the one-man developed MMO "Love" (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008/10/15/love-video/). Enjoy. :)

And just out today, new videos of Love (http://news.quelsolaar.com/#home). The gameplay one shows off some of the player-driven building and terrain modification aspects of the game, as well as how some of the strategy of the game will work. Haven't watched the Tool video yet. Keep in mind as you watch, he made this entirely by himself.

I have no idea whether I'll even like the final game, but I find his ideas fascinating. The bomb triggered by the keyword in the chat window is just crazy.
