So....while I was out in Orlando enjoying Opeth I was supposed to be getting Fable 2 yesterday.

VALDOSTA,GA, US 10/21/2008 7:52 P.M. A CORRECT STREET NUMBER IS NEEDED FOR DELIVERY. UPS IS ATTEMPTING TO OBTAIN THIS INFORMATION / DELIVERY RESCHEDULED

I just sent off this e-mail to Amazon.

I did not receive my copy of Fable 2 yesterday. Somehow the incorrect address is on the package according to UPS tracking. Please correct this. I paid for release day shipping and for a first time customer of that service failure is not a good thing. I expect to have my shipping charges refunded and if I don't see the game today I will expect more refunded.

Lets hope I get it today.

That sucks. Did you verify the street and stuff on the order? At least you know you WOULD have gotten it. Perhaps it was a UPS snafu, those guys are a bunch of idiots usually.

Could be, and we've had UPS deliver stuff to the other side of the street before but I've never seen that msg on a tracking slip even when that happens.

Now it's been updated to Delivery Appointment Scheduled....lets see if it gets to me this time.

I've had nothing but problems with UPS Shipping, some similar to what you mention here. It also appears that most people who work at The UPS Store are idiots as well. Thank god most of the stuff I order now ships FedEx or DHL.

I should mention by other side of the street I mean the UPS man reads W instead of E in the street address.

Sandman, Amazon fucked me as well on a 'release-day' title. They held onto it because LittleBigPlanet got delayed. They decided that they wanted to ship them all out at once. Basically, I was punished for ordering several items at one time, even though I chose 'Release Day Delivery' as my shipping option.

I've cancelled all my orders from Amazon this Fall. It's much faster and easier to buy retail, even with preorders.

See, I'll disagree. Combined with Amazon Prime I actually save time by preordering through Amazon.

I don't have to stop at the mall on the way home and deal with the idiots there. I get home, the game is on my doorstep. Plus - I save that $3 of tax.

I am still waiting for my copy of Fable 2 from Gamefly , it shipped on the 20th supposedly and still isn't here yet. Is that a normal amount of time or should I have it by now? Im in NY.

Ive had an issue similar to you sandman but basically it was the ups person was lazy because when i got it and checked both labels they were the exact same.
