I swear someone already asked this. But, do you have the time for these, and Fallout 3 + Left4Dead?

I've ordered Fallout 3 and Dead Space. Both I plan to take a long leisurely time with. Far Cry 2 looks awesome for the open world, but that's purely SP which I will get from the former two titles. So I guess I'm now leaning towards COD.
Left 4 Dead, I want to wait and see how big it gets around where I live.

Far Cry 2 is not purely singleplayer at all. See this (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=298) and this (http://www.totalvideogames.com/Far-Cry-2/feature-13324.html) and Mm7gvfR4YKc

I know it has a multi player component, but so far reviews haven't had much kind to say about it. Plus I have a feeling COD will have a bigger following for multiplayer here.

If I had that money I could buy the game myself! ;)

Everything I've read about the multiplayer basically says that it is fun, while not spectacular, but the editor is so powerful that people will definitely come up with lots of awesome maps to keep it fresh.

I've decided to go with CoD myself. CoD4 MP has lasted me until now and I assume that it won't be any different when the next one hits.

CoD5 is a WWII mod for CoD4, which I'm assuming you already own. Go Far Cry.

If you haven't decided yet get Far Cry 2, it is the game of the century.

This is my feeling. I understand there are a lot of improvements to MP with CoD5, but I'm so fucking tired of WWII I just can't bring myself to go back. I'll continue to play CoD4 and I'll play Far Cry 2 MP.

Maybe I need to play it more...I played it for a half hour and then sparked up my new copy of Dead Space and decided to stick with that.
It must get better.

This is the Pacific Theater though...a first for the Call of Duty series and should present some interesting new gameplay.

I'm totally bored with the weapons, though. Ultimately, that's what makes an FPS. Sure, the theater is different, but the weapons bore me.

I'd say Far Cry 2. I don't really trust Treyarch to make a decent CoD game, and WWII is played out.

Have you played it? My roommate was in the beta and it is actually pretty damn good.
If you like FPS enough it might be worth taking Schnoogs' advice to just get both.

Can't say that I have, and I really don't plan on getting either, at least not at launch. Even if CoD 5 is as good as you say, I really doubt it will be anything I haven't seen before.

You won't, it is like Treyarch lifted everything good about CoD 4 and dropped it into a WWII setting. They changed up some of the "special attacks"; dogs instead of helicopters, getting shelled rather than carpet bombed but still.
They just happened to do a surprisingly good job with it.
