Battlefield: Bad Company 2 SP Trailer Released.

The single player campaign has the boys of Bad Company back in the thick of things.

Not that I recall, I never finished the first so I'm not sure how the first will tie into the second if there is any tie in at all, story wise I mean.

Looks awesome. To be honest, it looks like it will be more fun than MW2. Both the SP and the MP look that way.

The first one was generally fun in a kind of mindless way, but it had one of the worst end-boss battles I can ever remember playing in an FPS (except for perhaps the Evil Killer Brain sequence from Quake IV... no.. this was worse).

Textbook example of how to completely fuck up anything fun you've managed to build up over the course of a game and end on a supremely flat note.


Not that I won't be playing this, mind you -- I loves me some Battlefield! :p

Yeah, that was an effective use of You Think I'm Not Worth A Dollar. However, I miss the smooth music of the first. It gave the game some character.

Must admit, as a pc gamer, I was going to completely skip the single player, but I might have to check it out :)

I pimp this every time, and since somebody mentioned the music... My friend works for Please MusicWorks (http://www.pleasemusicworks.com/pmw.html), the company that gets the music done for Bad Company, both 1 & 2. I bet the ad agency picked the music for this ad, but where the game proper is concerned, it's their deal.

This older trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/beta-announcement-battlefield-bad/58613) is a good example of the music they get done. The soundtrack will be available for download (http://www.amazon.com/Battlefield-Bad-Company-2/dp/B0030INY02/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1264178273&sr=301-1) on February 2.

I don't know if they also licensed the music for this as well. Please MusicWorks also works for Dreamworks Animation, and in those cases she said that she not only coordinates the original soundtrack but also licensing the existing songs for movies like Bee Movie, Shrek, etc.

She's a badass gal, and she ended up staying with violin/music where I quit. I'm damn proud of her!

Seriously? Queens of the Stone Age are great, and from a couple of comments I've read, the Bad Company 1 soundtrack was very "smooth".

I've not heard many of their songs, and I do love the thing they did with Bourdain, but if that's them it's definitely not my favorite of theirs. Just sounds like some generic emokid rock or something.

It may not be your thing, but many of the guitar parts in that song are anything but generic. Really they just threw a quick verse/chorus at you in the trailer which are indeed pretty straight forward, there is some pretty cool odd note stuff going on overall.

Funny thing, on the actual CD their is a radioish intro for that song which states *cheesy radio voice* "Clone Radio, we play the songs that sound more like everyone else, than anyone else". I think they were taking a jab at the genericemokids. Really though, the QOTSA album "Songs for the deaf" should not be missed by anyone as there is something for everyone on it.

On to the game...

This looks fantastic and seems it could easily compete with MW2 in both epic SP storyline and MP. I can't say what I'll pick it up on, would love it to be PC but most my friends are brokeass xboxers ;) I am pretty certain on a purchase for this one though.
