Ok so I currently have a first generation Nano. The battery life is horrible, and it's only a two gig model which is now driving me insane. So I have two options. Two of my friends have iPods they're willing to sell. One has a brand new, not even out of the box, current gen, eight gig iPod Nano (in black if you care). He's willing to sell it for £80, but he's also willing to negotiate lower. Another friend has an eight gig, first generation iPod Touch. It's been used, but knowing this guy it'll be in almost perfect condition. He's willing to sell it for £60, and may have a little flexibility.

I can't get a non-iPod, my iTunes Store purchase list is pretty large and I can't be bothered with converting it etc... The issue with the iPod Touch is I'm worried about breaking it, or it being a bit too bulky.

So... opinions?

The iPod touch is the way to go if your going to be watching any videos. The battery life is alot longer than the new Nano. If music is your main reason I would go with Nano for the occasional video it does just fine.

also don't forget the gaming aspect of the IPod Touch if that even matters to you.

The Touch is bulky but is still thinner than most cell phones.

Get the 60 pound touch, no brainer. Same storage, with much more functionality for less money. You also can use many/most of the applications and games from the iPhone store. Nothing that uses tilt, but still.

But if you do go for the Nano, tell your friend to E-mail me.
