Next Week in Rock Band: Alice in Chains

The cold doesn't stop the rock...band. This week the Rock Band (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/tags.php?tag=rock+band) music platform gets another 5 songs from legendary grunge band Alice in Chains.

• Alice In Chains – “Grind”
• Alice In Chains – “Heaven Beside You”
• Alice In Chains – “Last of My Kind”
• Alice In Chains – “We Die Young”
• Alice In Chains – “Your Decision”

The Alice in Chains Track Pack 02 will sell for 680 MSP/$8.50. All individual tracks will sell for 160 MSP/200 NP/$2. The tracks will be available Tuesday for the 360 and Wii (individual tracks only for the Wii) and Thursday for the PS3.

Harmonix really needs to start getting some new bands. Every other week it's either Blink, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam or Alice in Chains. I wouldn't mind if it was Heavy Metal bands being released every other week but I'm tired of songs with no solos.

Honestly, I just want them to announce more The Beatles: Rock Band DLC. I hope the sales for the previous couple packs were good enough to convince them to released Revolver DLC. If they do that, I will never stop believing in Harmonix*.

*Unless they release Nickelback: Rock Band.

I was a huge fan of Alice in Chains before Layne died, and I guess still am of their old stuff, but Grind and We Die Young are really the only songs I'm looking forward to here. Jerry simply can't sing, and he does way too much of it on Heaven Beside You, and the new disc just isn't very good. If we're going to get more AiC, just release Dirt, Facelift, and Sap as track packs and I'll be happy.

Check My Brain is terrible. It's like they said "hey, this one three chord riff is awesome, let's play it for five minutes straight and that will be even more awesome."

And Check My Brain is already available as a track for RB2 if you're interested.
