New Super Street Fighter 4 Trailer

Capcom has released a new trailer for Super Street Fighter IV. Featured prominently in the trailer are the pair of new costumes each character gets this time around, rather than the palette swaps in the non-Super version of the game. Are you ready for Mecha-Zangief? We also get peeks at the expanded rival system, new Ultra combis, and some of the 8-10 new combatants, including Guy, Adon, Dee-Jay.

Super Street Fighter IV will be released for the 360, PS3 and PC in the spring.

They really are upping the ante with the cinematic quality of the Ultra Combos. Also, Shinku Shoryuken. 'Nuff said.

Dictator dress-up Cammy is too cute for words. Mecha-Zangief however is not what I'd call "impressive." I think I preferred the zombie-esque palette swap from MvC2. Balrog's third looks amazing though.

Here's hoping Ken's new costume is a "Whipped by Eliza" pink polo shirt and khakis. That'd rule the roost for sure.

I was wondering about that myself. Does it actually turn white with added ink effects for Ryu's Shin Shoryuken or was that just for the video?

Still, I am super excited for this and disappointed it got pushed back. I think I might pull out the SFIV disc and get some practice in on the stick when I get home. It's been a while.

Maybe I was unclear. I was in high school when SSF2 was announced and we got our first glimpse of Dee-Jay. We were all actually quite proud and we were amazed that our tiny rock in the middle of the Caribbean managed its way into Japanese hearts and minds. Only about 20 countries were represented and Jamaica made the cut.

It was just a great bonus that Capcom didn't make DJ a ridiculous Bob Marley clone. No, more than any other character on the entire roster, Dee-Jay is probably the kind of image/character you're most likely to run into in real life.

Nothing offensive about him at all. Capcom handled him very tastefully. I wouldn't even cal him stereotypcial. Dhalsim, Guile, Zangief and T-Hawk are far worse. He's a caricature, and rightly so, which makes him identifiable.

I appreciate the clarification Urizen! Dee-Jay was my favorite of the new fighters in SSF2, and eventually usurped Chun-Li to be my second after Ryu.Nothing offensive about him at all. Capcom handled him very tastefully. I wouldn't even cal him stereotypcial. Dhalsim, Guile, Zangief and T-Hawk are far worse. He's a caricature, and rightly so, which makes him identifiable.Though maybe I should point out that I didn't meant stereotypical in any negative fashion, just formulaic. Perhaps caricature was the better word.

Wow, you remember? I don't even think we played much. I now pick Ryu, and I have decided that he is the best character in the game. I mean Ultra works with ANY anti air attack it's ridiculous.
