Well, I discovered today that you can't read the blogs if you have under 25 posts yet you can read them if you aren't logged in. I'm guessing this wasn't intentional. Just figured I'd point it out.

I can confirm this, definitely a bug unless there are reasons for restricting read access to blogs (in which case it still doesn't work right).

CMS apps usually fail pretty hard when it comes to permissions management of modules. No doubt the permissions may only be:

* Must be a member to write a blog
* Must have 25 posts to access blog

The latter not specifying read/write/admin access, just lumped up as a whole causing the "bug" so to speak.

I just got a nasty message when I tried to view the latest "Turning the Spigot" blog.

This is a useless post to get my count to 25.

It wasn't, hence my useless posts, hence my banning.

Better rule for half-DECENT forum communities? Don't require post counts to read content.

Indeed. Thanks!

Post counts aren't required to read content. Or so I assume, as it has never been a problem for me while perusing the site.
