Mine did way back in May. I still haven't gotten in fixed yet. Does that make me lazy?

I have gone through two personally, but my roommate has had one for over a year now and it still runs. That is the longest of anyone I know, though I am aware that there have been longer.

My roommates is all fucked up though, it won't run some games like GTA IV and some BC games like Amped. They are just stuttering, unplayable messes. His disk tray also hitches and sticks about halfway out. It takes a really long time to load some stuff and freezes pretty regularly. He treats it fine, only been in one spot that is well ventilated and secure.

I saw the quotes in the thread title and immediately thought "Ah! This must be one of those theoretical questions." ;)

I've had my xbox I think for over 2 years and it's seen plenty of use. I'm hoping it red rings soon since my disk drive is slowly dying. Also I want it to red-ring before the 3 year warranty goes away....

My 360 has not RROD yet... I've had it for a year now. Then again I don't really put that much time into it right now. Although once I had it blink red when I first got it, saying disc read error, took it out and put it back in and it was fine... a glitch in the matrix.

Put it in a drawer with the PSU and let it run for an hour.

Of the 8 or 9 people in real life I know with 360s, I think 2/3rds of us have sent them back for a RRoD repair.

What I do not get is why people respond, nothing gets a troll worse than being completely ignored.

My friend has a launch 360 that's still going. I got mine 2 years ago and I've had 4 RRoDs.

Mine is still running perfectly, I've had it since January. I ended up getting the Halo edition. I haven't heard any stories of those Red Ringing yet.

This thread just seems like it is tempting fate - we should do a follow-up in the next month called "Okay, Now My Xbox 360 Has RROD'ed". :D

Just one month ago I could have happily said that my launch day 360 was still running strong...BUT I got a RROD finally after 3 years.

Mine hasn't, but it's only two months old. Here's hoping it lasts me until the next gen.

My friend, however, bought his a year ago and it RROD'd on him. Hilariously, just before it Red Ringed, his guitar for Rock Band 2 stopped working. Then, when he went to check online for possible solutions, his computer wouldn't start (power supply was busted).

We couldn't help but tease him. We kept telling him he should go back into the wild, he wouldn't have to worry about electronics ever again.

I've had mine since March of 2006 and no problems. But I also game maybe 5% as much as most of you here.

I find that my shit always seems to break in threes. Last spring I had a flat tire, my computer got a trojan that forced me to reformat, and I badly injured my knee all in one week. It was a shitty, shitty week.

I've never had one RRoD, and the first one I bought was a year after launch. Then about a year ago, I traded for an Elite and have never had problems with that (though I've toyed with sending it in to get the disc drive replaced).

Could you buy one and shove it in your mouth? :D Preferably while it's plugged in...to your ass. :D

Edit: Woops...didn't realize he already got banned. And no, it's not a Johan alt. ;)

Mine has not RROD yet. Thanks a lot, it will now;) Between my friends, brother and me, mine is the last one holding out. It is not that old. I picked it up right when they put the HDMI in the premium edition. It is in a cold basement all day with lots of breathing room. I usually don't play it for more than 4 hours or so and typically about once a week. My loud ass PC does most of my gaming.

Mine RROD a little more than 1.5 years into having it. It was a launch model. I had previously sent it in because my ethernet card broke on it, but I had no red rings from that.

I have two friends that got RROD twice, and two friends that got RROD once. All our systems were launch time units. Two others have never had the problem but they both got their systems last chrismas.

I've had one since last December; it got the RROD once a few months ago after I'd moved it to a spot that probably had worse ventilation temporarily - since putting it back where it was it's running fine again.

Not a lot of confidence in it, though. :(

Second hand launch model and it runs fine. Doesn't get a huge amount of use though.

When did the elite model launch? I have one of those launch units and I (knock on wood) haven't had any issues thus far.

This thread is fail without an included poll. :)

My first 360 didn't last even 6 months into owning it before it kicked the can.

My second one after that which was around sometime in 2006/7 I believe has been going strong since. And that thing has been beaten to hell and back and I'm surprised it still runs...

Somewhere around July of last year. I got my elite then to and so far no troubles. Considering the amount of time I have logged on that, it may be more than some people's launch consoles.

My coworker had a RRoD about a month ago, just 2 days after his best buy warrenty ended. :( I was suprised at his 2 week turn around though, at least it seems somewhat streamlined now.
