4. Oklahoma

8. Texas Tech
9. Ohio State

I'm somewhat surprised to see USC in the top 5 there....that's the BCS for ya.

Why the sports media continues to stroke off USC I will never know. They are in a weak conference, but somehow years of dominating a mediocre playfield have made them a 'legacy' team. Chances are that all of the teams this year will take a loss. Texas has a tough remaining schedule and Bama is in the SEC where anything can happen come Saturday. Penn State may be able to make it, but they better not play against Ohio the way they played Michigan.

If PSU can beat Ohio State, they should be fine the rest of the way.
And if Texas plays the way they've been playing, no one in the Big 12 can touch them (this pains me to say as a Nebraska fan).
I really don't see Alabama going undefeated...so...I think it'll be Texas and PSU.

Almost every year there is a good team in the SEC that gets screwed because of a tough schedule....that's just how it is.

fuck the bcs, it's all about the pussy schools like usc, there isn't one school in the top 5 that can handle any team in the SEC..
i forogt who it was, but somsone on ESPN gamedays said the SEC is "dirty, smashmouth Football" and too "Hardcore" for a team like USC

Personally I think the Big-12 south is as tough as the SEC this year if not tougher. The rest of the Conferences probable not. Being an Ohio State fan it will be tough for them to get close to the top again but here is to hoping.

I'd probably give you the top 4 but starting at 5 on down is where it's questionable.

I'm really curious about Oklahoma State. Have they just had one good game (Mizzou) or are they for real?

They will put up big numbers it is just a matter of their D showing up on the same day. They are probable 3rd or 4th in the South behind Texas and Oklahoma and maybe Texas Tech (which has its own split personallity).

Yeah Oklahoma State AND Texas Tech can really light up the score board. However OSU's defense is not that strong and once you stop Tech's passing game they are done. That being said EVERY year OSU and TT come close to beating Texas, so they are far from being pushovers. I will be glued to the TV for those two games and the dreaded Texas A&M game (ugh).
