Well, we've talked about it, we've joked about it and we've prepared for it! Now it's finally happened.

Hordes of shambling, rotting, brain-hungry zombies were roaming the streets of New York City on Saturday October 18th!.

They infested the bars!

They even figured out how to use the public transportation system!

And with a heavy heart I've found out that my daughter has succumb to the plague. When I sent her off to The Big Apple, Zombie War Survival was not one of the skills that I thought to teach her. I found this picture of her being taunted with the offering of fresh brains. The creature at the far left with the bloody blonde hair was once my beloved daughter.

Teach your kids the skills that they need to survive in the world of tomorrow!

Don't let this happen to your children!

Maybe I should look into those zombie tools with more consideration... :)

I'm guessing that's your daughter in the last pic too? Let her know some random guy on the internet complemented her make-up for the event :D.

Zombies don't smile for the camera.

I do hope the military intervened in a timely fashion.

The military never intervenes in a timely fashion. I'm sure they gathered lots of people together in one location resulting in a feeding frenzy though.

Sweet! I particularly like the look of the blood soaked girl on the subway.

Nice that your daughter joined in the ruckus Buddha, seems that you done well by her. Not that that is any surprise.

My daughter said that she scared the hell out of all the other zombies! She must be a messy eater; she was soaked in blood!

There are a ton of pictures out on Flicker. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/zombiecon08/) Some people put a great deal of effort into the day. Looks like everyone had a lot of fun with it! :D

Would have been much better if she hadn't carefully not gotten her hair dirty.

One of my favorites. Just a guy on the way home from work.

I would have been the asshole charging at Zombies with a baseball and chainsaw.

"STOOOOOOOPPPP!!! THEY AREN'T REAL ZOMBIES!!!! THIS IS A PHOTOSHOOT!!!!"
To which I would calmly reply, "I know."
