So after purchasing the game about a month ago then never playing it cause I was already playing other stuff, I finally started Lock's Quest this weekend. It is fucking awesome, how come nobody told me?

If there is anyone else playing let us discuss the game. I know Avnovice was looking forward to it.

Whats it like? I heard it being compared to Tower Defense, is that accurate?

Yeah, it is a Tower Defense game in which you control a single character during the battles. The character can maintain you current defenses or battle, and there are several options for combat.

There is a lot more to it that you standard flash tower defense game though, with many different enemy types and turret types, plus upgrades and traps among other things.

I found the controls and pathfinding to be too much of a pain in the rear for it to be fun for me. I really wanted to like this game, but struggled with it too much. As a lover of Tower Defense-like games (love PixelJunk Monsters), I gave this game a couple hours of my time, but just couldn't...

They can be a pain yes, but they are not a big deal for me.

The controls are fine as far as I am concerned, but sometimes Lock does go do things I didn't ask. All it usually takes is another tap of where you want him and away he goes to do what you originally asked. I really didn't find it to be a big issue, especially since you only control him during battles. If you had more units to tend to I could definitely see it being an issue, as is it is a small complaint in an otherwise good game.

I couldn't stand the game. I was really excited for it, until I actually played it. A game where my player would constantly be getting stuck behind trees and walls, is a game that isn't for me.

I have played over 60 days now, and that hardly ever happens to me. I just don't get what people were doing that got them stuck so often. The only thing Lock does all the time that really bugs me is when I tap a wall to repair and he runs all the way outside the fort to do so.
