The Lionhead dev blog (http://community.lionhead.com/blogs/fable_2_development/archive/2008/10/19/3137312.aspx) has said they're all set to go with a day one patch for online coop in Fable II (cutting it kind of close?).

Terrific news! Lionhead and Microsoft Game Studios confirmed today that the online co-op “Fable II” multiplayer feature update is confirmed for a first day free download on Xbox LIVE, worldwide (21st October). We are pleased to provide “Fable II” fans around the world with the chance to hop in and out of their friend’s “Fable II” worlds, to meet their heroes, dogs, spouses and experience Albion, together online. “Fable II” will be available at retailers throughout North America on October 21 and across Europe on October 24.

I'm glad they got everything togather and certified for release, this should please some people.

Well damn.
I was going to put off Fable 2 until they got this patch out. It was going to lighten the load money-wise.
Now I have to figure out how to afford this and Far Cry 2.

And no, I can't just not buy one! I'm weak!

What a relief that is. I liked the first Fable so to co-op the second will be great fun to say the least. I just hope I remember to keep the restrictions on when I invite someone into the game. It's either that or they burn my house down. Probably.

I got the game at a midnight launch and it updated when inserted at 12:20. But I didn't play any co-op yet. I want to get my character started on a path first.
