Anyone else see it?

It's kind of like a steampunk Logan's Run, with two kids trying to escape from a post-apocalyptic dystopian vault city. Lots of that ancient conflict between adventuresome youth and set-in-their-ways old people.

I really liked the sets, which were Dickensian and dirty. Everything was falling apart, and it all looked like it had been built in the 1920s and never got thrown out.

The art direction made the messy plot and bad acting very bearable, as did old Bill Murray's presence. Definitely a good movie to see if you have kids.

All I know is that the trailer had Bill Murray wearing a fucking Mr. T medalion. I've gotta see this shit.

I was considering picking up the book. I probably won't see the movie until it comes out on DVD, but I'm interested.

I remember using this book in guided reading with my fourth graders during student teaching. I really liked it.

My former roommate's brother wanted to pick the book up after first seeing the preview in theatres, but when he saw it was in the "Children's" section of Barnes and Noble, he decided against it. I was disappointed, because I was totally going to snatch it from him after he finished it!

I love these types of movies. Steampunk has always been one of my favorite subjects. This movie has several parallels with others such as THX and the Island.

Alot of good children's books make good movie watching.

I guess it's the first in a series, and I kind of wanted to get the second book to see what happens. But yeah, young adult books, not that desperate.
