What is a good brand, for cheapish, not Skullcandy earbuds.
Those damn things feel like they are having sex with my ears whenever they are in, and I keep losing the damn rubber things on the end of them.
Thanks!

Eh'. With headphones, you really get what you pay for.
EDIT: Meaning, if you want them to be comfy, you might need to pay up. My $100 Bose In-Ear-Headphones are sex.

I have the skullcandy ones with the foam-ish inserts, they stay in my ear because the foam expands once its in there.

I'll have to find out what brand the buds were that my g/f just bought. They're kind of awesome - they're an earbud/wraparound hybrid. The wraparound part keeps the earbud part in the ear, without the discomfort of either one.
I want to pick up a pair for myself.

I'm kind of in the market too. Anything for around $30, I'm not looking for anything too extravagant.

I get discount so I am not sure...I think they are $40. If you wanna do a search for them, I think they are called titaniums.

I have the Zune premium buds and they work well, good sound, decent bass.

Phillips makes a good pair for $20. The buds are the shaped rubber/plastic kind.

sensheimmer cx 300 are nice and have great bass response (if a little heavy on it)

I'll second the zune premium headphones. I think they are 20 bucks from amazon.

V Moda seems to be the best 20-30 dollar set. C Net gave them an Editor's choice last year. And I personally know several happy customers.

I have JVC Marshmallows which I'm very happy with, I got them on sale at Circuit City for $9 I believe. They have decent reviews, the ends don't come off, they feel comfy and they sound great.
They're $14 at amazon (http://www.amazon.com/JVC-HAFX33B-Marshmallow-Stereo-Headphones/dp/B000IS1ZZI), but I know Circuit City has them on sale from time to time.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will have to look in depth at each option!

I seem to go through these every few months, and I'll second the JVCs for comfort (Philips are often good too). The Sennheiser ones I'm using now sound great but are murder to wear 'properly'.

I used to use those, they arent bad. They last about 6 months though - but then again they are cheap.
I recently bought an 8GB sony MP3 player (NWZ 828 or something?) which came with some slightly strange ear buds, but they are actually very good.

I was going to recommend these as well, even though they're inner ear rather than earbuds. The bass is great, as jeffbax says, but they're good all rounders too. Easy to find them really cheap here in the UK as well, can find them at about half of their RRP.

These do not stay in my ears at all. I've got tiny ears with tiny ear canals, and the rubber inserts just don't work. I need to use foam ones.
I've owned all of these in ear headphones.
Zune Premium - Cheap, sound ok, don't stay in the ears.
Shure E2c - Pretty cheap anymore, if they are still in production (?), nice full sound, kind of bulky design.
Shure E3c - Little more pricey, sounds a lot clearer than the E2c, better smaller design, fits perfect, not dog-proof.
Jays Q-Jays - Little pricey, sounds like sex, smallest most comfy headphones i've owned, had a manufacturer defect in the left side causing one of the dual drivers to short out... had to send it back and couldn't get a replacement due to high demand.
Just remember with the earphones. You absolutely need to get one that can create a good seal on your ear. If you don't, the sound will be void of any bass and sound like a radio.
