Coop's PAX 2008 Lump performance was legendary. But it's nothing compared to his rendition of the Beastie Boy's Sabotage.
You think I'm lying? Having seen the "performance" many a times, I decided to film it at my latest Rock Band party.
In the video:
AniAko - Vocals
Pheriannath - Bass
Khrymsyn - Guitar
Mrs. Pheriannath - Drums
POSrTPn3vHY
Sorry for the aspect ratio - YouTube apparently doesn't understand how to do proper widescreen.

They have way more fun that we do when we play.
Bastards.

... Like Buddy Rich I fly off the handle.
Never forget, they're "games" and about having fun :) Visualizing myself with Mike D on a stage is pretty fucking fun.

Wow, AniAko just won Rock Band! I was so captivated that I watched the entire video, which doesn't usually happen on YouTube.
Now I desire to see this "Lump" performance.

HA! you should have him play Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer on drums, now that's a show ;) even the cats laugh when he plays that song it's hilarious! Just watch out for the flying drum sticks :p

that was awesome, with Rock Band 2's no fail mode I should be able to do a good Battery.

I totally should have! Or I could have ripped it off the wall mid-song and started thrashing and stomping on the TV while everyone on the instruments would keep playing and then the house would catch fire and the instruments would melt in our hands, then the world beneath our feet would melt and we'd be performing in space so you couldn't hear us, but we'd rocket at light speed and crash into another planet of alien nature (all while still performing), and continue performing on their planet with crazy alien instruments, and the civilization rejoices as our performance wards off an enemy species exposing THIER plans for sabotaging the homeland species livelyhood, so then the homeland species make us royalty for introducing music to them and defeating their enemy, then we finish the song with the explosion of our original solar system...
At least that's what Nick SHOULD have edited in. That would have been a much cooler rock video ;)

Is Khry wearing a communist party t-shirt? Ani, you're my hero, especially for the scream halfway through.

No, I don't. Even putting aside the fact that I don't drive (bad heart) and mostly listen to classical music, I actually really hate when people do that.

I wasn't even tipsy at that point of the night. When I'm liquored up a little I feel the performance is better. Then again I typically have my beer goggles on then :)
Thank you all for such wonderful accolades! I feel they're a bit undeserving because all I'm doing is having fun :) Straximus is a good performer as well, I wish we had video of his Faith No More performance as PAX. Straximus and I need to do a duet with Lips when it comes out. THAT would fucking rock hard.

I'd hate to say it, but there's probably a reason you don't "get" this genre.

Yeah, I think there is, too. And that's a real shame, because it looks like people are having a blast during it.

It's wierd... I honestly originally couldn't understand it either. But one fateful day bap invited me over for some Guitar Hero II, and there's something to be said for doing it and not just watching it. Course, it helps a LOT of you like the music you're doing, and if not, then I don't think there's any way to get into it unfortunately.

Well, I have played it - I went out and bought Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360 one day. Since then, the most I've been tempted for one of these games is for Rock Band, right after they announced the upcoming AC/DC track pack (I do listen to some other music - mostly from the 80's - just not a lot of it).

This just makes me want to be at PAX. It's too bad that we didn't get video of Lump or We Care Alot. I must remember to bring my camcorder to the Blue Skittle party next year, just to record the awesome.

Sadly I can't play any of these games. I get terrible motion sickness when I do - the only games to ever make me feel like that.

No guarantee they'll have RB there again. If not... maybe a CoG party is necessary... We could get enough tix to rent that place out...

That's so sad James :( BUT...
Being a groupie requires no screen reading!!!! :D

Would this also mean that you'll be at PAX? Because that would be cool too.
There can be 3 bands reunited at PAX.

Pheriannath - Bass
Khrymsyn - Guitar
Think you've got those backwards. During the mid-break restart, it's Khrymsyn doing the baseline. ;)
Edit: Wait, scratch that. I'm thinking of "So What'cha Want"'s track, got them mixed in my head.
