We've been anticipating this for awhile - we asked for your questions (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=12884), we gave out copies (http://www.colonyofgamers.com/cogforums/showthread.php?t=13160) of the game - so I'm going to keep the preliminaries short. We spoke to Runic about Torchlight. They answered your questions. There were a lot of them (people on the call, and questions being answered). We had a lot of fun. We hope you'll listen and enjoy.

On the Immortal Machines side:
Eric [Ravenlock] - Host
Clayton [Voodoo] - Producer
Jacob [MagGnome] - Cool Guy

On the Runic side:
Max Schaefer - CEO
Travis Baldree - President / Project Lead
Jason Beck - Art Director
Adam Perin - Tech Artist
John Dunbar - Zombie Pyrotechnician
Wonder Russell - Minister of Public Relations
Falcor - Dog

Thanks to everyone who submitted questions, we did our best to hit as many as we could. Without further ado: Immortal Machines - Torchlight! (http://www.immortalmachines.com/public/podcast/Torchlight.mp3)

Ditto. Makes me yearn to purchase it but alas, it cannot be afforded even at 20. Damn my prolonged unemployment!

Time to take up a collection for CappinCanuck, folks. I would spot him, but I already bought BigJonno a copy for his contest prize. ;)

Did I get distracted and miss it, or did you guys not get to my question?

They told us to wrap before we got to pretty much any of the detailed modding questions :( It was the next section we were going to go into (OrangePulp also got missed).

Hopefully the editor videos that were linked in the original thread helped at least partially address what you were asking. You also might get some more info by browsing through their modding forum (http://forums.runicgames.com/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=23ef62e21a818dfc173de5c16fd8a6f8), where people are (pre-tools release) talking about what they're able to do now by editing files, but probably also planning out grander things for when the tools are out. At the very least I'd imagine that once the tools do come out that forum will be crawling with info.

Sorry man - hope the rest of the interview was worth the listen regardless. :)

Runic sounds like an awesome dev studio, Torchlight is definitely a definite (as if it wasn't before) now. Also Gnome has a sultry voice.

It's true, isn't it? ;)

I don't think anyone has ever before described my voice as sultry. :p

Wonderful interview.

I make long mention of it on our show, but I thought I'd say here how much I enjoyed it.

Runic were good sports and good subjects, and the questions were great. It was time very well spent, thank you.

Thank you! Very kind words and much appreciated (both for coming here to say so, and for mentioning it on IGC, which I'll look forward to hearing). :)

Thanks so much. We were quite nervous before and then full of energy after. We had a great time making it and are finding it delightful that others enjoyed it greatly as well. :)
